Pin cushion achievement glitched!!

I have tried to re-do this achievement several times and it will not unlock! :mad:

Anyone else having this problem?

I did this in the demo, so I don't know if there's some issue with it in the full game, but I did have a bit of trouble in the demo with it. I found it helped to aim for people's heads when trying to harpoon them to a car. Also, even though it is obvious, make sure you do it to people as the freaks evaporate when you shoot them.

Just got it myself, no probs at all.

I did use Peace keepes (even though they have wives and children), but you can't 'auto aim', well, I didn't. And I used a truck, and had to crouch for a few of them, but it did unlock.

I keep trying to do it on the Cell. I crouch and I am using the delivery truck....I don't know what's wrong with this thing. I just had like 8 people visibly pinned to the truck, all with headshots and no achieve...

Get a Cell pickup truck and drive around until you find some Cell. Kill them, pick up their bodies and throw them in the bed and harpoon them to the truck. Rinse and repeat until you have 5 of them. If peacekeepers work as someone else said, that should make it all the easier.

Well for anyone else having this problem, I found a solution on another site which worked for me as well. Just load up the demo and get the achieve.

I got it on my first try by doing nothing but focusing on killing people with my guns and i leveled up agility once by collecting like all of 3 agility orbs. I then loaded my game and pressed start at the main menu....finally achievement unlocked.

Hope this might help anyone else having trouble with this achieve.

I got this achievement just fine and used the Agency Tank but The achievement that is glitched for me is Chopper Stomper :(

You've got to do it from the passenger seat of a chopper, you can't jump out of one you're piloting yourself.

I can confirm that you CAN get that achieve while piloting the chopper. Just done it couple of minutes ago... landed on some freaks and up popped the achieve.

Yup no problems for me, got it the other night pinning Cell to a van. I did it at a stronghold, and just parked the van near a door i knew they'd come out

I tried the chopper stomper piloting the chopper and stomping a crowd of freaks and i didnt get it, worked fine when i did it on a couple of cell in the entrance to a stronghold.

Pin cushion worked fine for me in the first place, did it on the agency SUV for some reason. Just stick 2 on to it, drive on and try to find more victims.

chopper stomped is glitched for some and needs to be done from the passenger seat.
for pin cushion, sometimes they pin to the ground close to the car but look like they are on the car. drive around and see what sticks

Chopper stomper I got by myself jumped out the drivers seat and pounded the ground.

Pin I used the big cell truck and kept on drawing them in, strafed till they infront of truck and stuck them to it. I did notice that I had 6 of them but one was actually stuck to the floor right by the truck and not on it

pin cushion wouldnt work for me when i used any car, but i just grabbed a truck and it worked 1st time.

also chopper stomper worked 1st time when i was piloting, made sure to land near a few of them so at least one would die

Worked fine for me as well on my frist try.. Trucks seem to be the best things to use aim high so it fully sticks to the truck and not next to it on the ground.

Well my achievement was definitely glitched. I don't think I could have been doing it wrong that many times (x10+) in the normal game especially when I could see like 8 people pinned to a delivery truck at a time and I didn't get it. Then I rush through the demo and with about 3 minutes left I pinned the last Cell member and it was using a Cell car (Stallion or something)....first try, fifth guy, unlocked immediately.

There was nothing different that I did in the demo that I had not tried in the normal game. I read other places that some people people are experiencing problems with this achievement not unlocking so just because you didn't experience problems doesn't mean that other people aren't.

Seems like the chopper stomper achievement might be the same way. I haven't attempted that one yet but will let you know my results if I do.

just grab a bus and go to a cell strong hold and unload. Its what i did and it unlocked.

The achiev description says "...pin enemies..." but you can do it with anyone (except Freaks).

I did it on a random street with a van, pinning 5 pedestrians to it... and the Agency squad standing guard 5 yards away didn't bat an eye :-D

Freaks are apparently soft bastards, so harpoons penetrate them and they can't be stuck.

Had you said "If your having trouble doing this from the pilot seat, try doing it as a passenger" then you would be giving correct/good advise.

By your own admission that it can be done from the pilot seat by half the people, your statement that it can not be done that way was wrong. Perhaps don't phrase things in absolutes next time...Hmm?

Here's how I did this sucker. The quick and easy dirty way.

Go to Volk, where the oil refinery is. The one that the Cell never ever seem to leave and with the huge smoke stacks that have two hidden orbs on top of.

Now, pick up a car and flip it upsidedown next to some rubble or debris or something. You need to stand about the same height as the car, without touching the car.

Now, kill some cell (they are plentiful here!). Pick up a body and drop it onto the bottom of the car. Before it can slide off (but most likely, it won't, since your car is flipped upsidedown and there's no way for it to slide, save for a tilted car) put a harpoon through a leg or an arm. Be sure to stand on the debris or other piece of geometry when you drop the body, as well as when you shoot the body to the car. Otherwise, you might miss or fail, or the body might not stick.

You'll know the body is pinned if it moves a bit and "glitches" out a little. That is to say, moves from where you shot it, falls partially through the car, or other such things.

Now, get another body. Rinse and repeat until the achievement is unlocked.

Five bodies must be on the car at the same time. If they disappear, the gone bodies no longer count.

I got this myself and then helped two other friends get it. It's a sure-fire way to get it.

i had the same problem, in fact i actually posted it once already, anyway i had to do the same thing and go into the demo and unlock it that way, having to play for like the entire thirty minutes to get there but finally got it at the last few min.

Ok after finally getting chopper stomper I think I figured out what the problem was, when jumping out of the pilot seat the agent lands on the chopper for a Split second(or gets killed by the damn blades), thus canceling the possibility of getting the achievement, it needs to be a clean exit which is why its much easier doing it in the passenger seat. What I did was lean the chopper forward then jumped out holding forward, I exited without grazing the chopper and it popped on my first try. That's all I can say.

Thanks for the tip. Couldn't unlock Pin Cushion on my save, so downloaded the demo and did the achievement. Once I loaded up my save in the main game, achievement unlocked! :D

Seeing several people unable to unlock pin cushion (including myself) I think it is safe to assume there's definitely something wrong with this achievement.

But thanks for the tip with the demo - will try it immediately once I boot the game again.

I have also unlocked it on the demo, however, when the demo runs out, it says that I've unlocked the Pin Cushion achievement and it attempts to upload the content to the server but states that it's "Unable to communicate with the game server". My Xbox is in the DMZ of my router and am not having any problems elsewhere.... any suggestions?

This happened to me as well. Finally just recovered gamertag to a different xbox with no crackdown saves. Declined all updates. Got it within 10 minutes as you can get a harpoon gun from one of the freak caves without being level 4 firearms and there are plenty of gang members in the early parts of the game.
