I want this game but I don't want to shell out $60 for a game that I will beat in 8 - 10 hours. Like I did with war for cybertron (but I'm a huge TF fan so I bought it regardless). Anyone know how long it is? I usually play SP so MP is not what I'm asking about. Thank you to all who reply.

You should play hard, Cuda. The story is good and gameplay is fun. I really haven't heard of a console shooter with a 12+ hour single player campaign.

It is sad that these companies expect so much money and give you so little. Looks like ill have to pass on this until the price drops. Or maybe ill just rent it. I rarley play hard you feel like an uber badass on easy; I love the powertrip :) .Thanks for replying anyway.

You've never heard of Half-Life 2, Bioshock 1+2, Halo, Far Cry series, Fallout 3*(if you play it FPS), Oblivion*(if you play it FPS), Riddick. Just off the top of my head those games are all 12+ hours.

Fallout and Oblivian are RPGs not FPS regardless of the camera setting you choose.

Got bored with Bioshock early on, haven't touched it since. Never did the sequel. I'll play them later. Never played HL2 because the first one is hard for me to get into. It just doesn't pick up for me. Halo 1,2, or 3 didn't take me 10+ hours. Fallout # is well over 10+ hours if you do quests unrelated to the main storyline. Never played Far Cry.

Halo is all I was talking about. It was much longer than the other Halo games that have come out and I clocked around 12-15 hours on that one. The last 2 (3 if you include ODST) are all quite a lot shorter at under 10 hours.

I'll give you Oblivion there but Fallout 3 is a FPS rpg and plays as a FPS.
I could also add Breakdown to the list as that one was around 18 hours. I Just didn't want to go into the OXB catalogue too much. I used Halo since everyone has likely played that game.

LOL. Halo's story is short.

Halo 1 on legendary took me about 25 hours to complete.
I've completed every game on legendary and that one took the longest by far.

Halo 1 = an epic
Halo 2 and 3 = retail expansion packs.

Mass Effect 2 is an RPG shooter. Fallout isn't a shooter it is an RPG with guns and it won several RPG of the year awards. The story with side quests is easily 60+ hours (I have about 175 with DLC still not 100% finished). Also its only first person if you choose that setting I used 3rd person view 95% of the time. I only used first person to find something tiny in a corner or when really accurate shooting was required, with VATS (yet another rpg element) it wasn't often.

Well Mass Effect is a 3rd person shooter if anything. I played Fallout 100% FPS though. I played Oblivion like you played Fallout. Basically I only swithced to FP view to shoot arrows and cast spells mora acurately. I just couldn't play Fallout 3rd person at all though. Well ecxcept maybe to check out the duds I was wearing.

Lol why did you care about armor appearance if playing first person? I only care from an astetic view because I play a lot of games that are 3rd person. One reason I held back on this title. No offense to any FPS fans, its just not my thing. Even in my fav genre racing I rarely/never use cockpit view as I wreck every time.

Lots of off topis posts lol but yeah this game is way short. Me and my bro stayed up til five and beat it on normal, we started at midnight, so it isn't very long. We didn't try on hard

I liked the game but i wish it had been a little bit longer. Though really if it had been longer the story might have felt more forced. I suppose it was just the right length for the amount of time spent playing.
