In Area 4, complete [ Tactical Mission 1 ]. I found this mission tricky. Basically you have to fly from each circle on your mini-map (bottom right corner) but you can just fly from dot number two to dot number seven. Then, hit the Y Button to go into aim view. From there, just keep flying along the set path until you reach the base. Once there, and you see the targets lock on (red diamond), press the A Button to bomb them. If you miss, retry the mission.

Complete [ Tactical Mission 2 ] in Area 5 on Beginner. This is an easy one. First off, take the F-16C Fighting Falcon. Not only does it have seeking missiles, but it will have air-to-ground missiles as well. Once you get in range, start railing those ships with Air-to-Ground missiles, and pick off some of the enemy fighters if they lock onto you. Take out the two targets and the achievement is yours.

In Area 5, complete Submission 4 on Beginner. It's really easy, eliminate the single support craft, then the two targets. Two more targets and another support will appear, and deal with them in the same way.

Complete [ Tactical Mission 1 ] in Area 6 on Beginner. This was one of the hardest missions so far. I suggest the F-16AM Fighting Falcon with the default payload. Keep your power around 97-100 and try not to crash into anything, and keep your altitude low. If any of the other planes (there are about 16 on this map) spot you, you're toast. Just keep yourself low, and once you approach one of the SAM sites, increase your altitude to about 1500 feet. Once there, lock on and fire away, and hope it doesn't shoot you out of the sky with a missile. Rinse and repeat, but after you nail the last one, you win anyway.

Here's my walkthrough on this one:

The SR-71 Blackbird is a classic stealth and recon aircraft capable of speeds vastly in excess of Mach 1. And guess what? You've gotta shoot it down. If you want the F-22 Raptor, this is the easiest way to get it.

Choose the JAS-39A Gripen. Either Leon Ryoji, Edward, or Michael for your wingman. Standard payload.

You start the game facing roughly Southwest (heading about 300) at maximum velocity. The Blackbird is past Mach 1 and is heading straight at you, only 30,000 feet higher. Your missles need a radar lock, so your first obective is to put yourself on the same altitude as the SR-71, in roughly the same altitude.

Bank a hard left to a new heading of about 130 (the sun is a good marker), and increase your ascent to about 25 degrees... you should be holding a constant throttle or slightly accelerating. Activate your Meteor missle systems and set your wingman to attack Air targets

Around 20,000 feet or so, you'll notice that the SR-71 hasn't just overtaken you, it's about 10 nautical miles in front. As soon as it "disappears" from your radar, two MiG-31 fighters will appear, encroaching on you.

This part is really more luck than anything else. If everything runs smoothly, you'll be able to target the MiGs, fire off a missle at each and be done with them. If not, they will blow you up. No avoiding that. Continue climbling, with the SR-71 target box centered on your velocity vector. When available, it'll lock on and be in range. Fire as many missles as you feel are needed (it can lose some of them on sheer speed alone).

(BigBoss Mode) - Defeat Ryoji. Unlocks F-15DJ "Aggressor"
Spawns at the volcano in the Southwest corner of the Arena. (A heading of 220 from the main base should point you in the right direction.) Head to the volcano, climbing to 30,000 feet after you leave the base, so you don't get harassed by everything between the base and the volcano. Once you reach the volcano, concentrate on shooting down F-1s, F-4s, and F-15Js or F-15DJs.

(BigBoss Mode) - Defeat Edward. Unlocks F-2A "Ambush"
Spawns between the main base, and the smaller isle base. (A heading of 135 from the main base should point you in the right direction.) Head in the direction of the smaller isle base, Southeast of the main base. It's pretty close. For this plane, I'm not sure what all the related aircraft are, to shoot down. Just shoot down everything that's close to the small base. (Don't bother shooting down the F/A-18s. They're related to another boss.)

(BigBoss Mode) - Defeat Pilot. Unlocks F-15J Eagle "305th Squadron"
Thanks to Alex Star who figured this out, it's not too complicated (but does require a lot of time).
First, unlock the first five Premium Rewards, by shooting down the specific wingman Big Bosses, as explained in G03, then challenging each one in Big Boss Mode.

Next, you need to obtain Best Guy or Predator rank, by playing online in Multiplayer. This rank can't be obtained offline in Challenge Arena. Once you have reached Best Guy (or Predator), hop into Challenge Arena, and shoot down a plane, then land and exit. Select your Big Boss menu, and F-15J 305th should be available to challenge!

Your rank needs to be Ace before the Premium Reward 8 Big Boss shows up in Big Boss mode. You need to be Ultimate before Premium Reward 7 shows up. If you're not Ultimate yet, fly around in Challenge Arena, shooting down any Bosses/Big Bosses to gain glory points and boost your rank.

Am I right in thinking that you can't do 100% on one run through the game? As when I do certain sub-missions, others dissapear!
