First off, it is bullshit that they patched a demo just because we were having more fun than they wanted. We got to see the game when we were more powerful, which is where it will be more fun. That being said, i don't think i can get this game. I spent 2-3 hours maxing my skills, and that's a big hunk of time. Then, if you noticed it during download, the leveling is augmented by about 4 times. So i don't think i can spend my money knowing it will take forever to level up my skills, which are the only thing that make the game fun.

They make it easy to level up skills in the demo so u can see what's in store for when u get there. If u played the first crackdown u would have known it was going to be like that. If they made it way easy to level ur skills in the full game it wouldn't be any fun because it changes how u play. Ex: when ur agility is low u have to find different ways into strongholds closer to the ground or something like that. If ur agility is maxed out then u can start from the other side of the city and fly in. When the game is like that it makes u adapt to what u have and make it works. Besides leveling up ur skills is half of the fun and it makes the game last longer instead of burning through it in a day.

I agree 100%. They do it as a teaser to the game itself.
Remember agent: skills for kills. Skills for kills.
Had to throw that in. XD

You'll level up the same way you used to level in Crackdown 1 , only vehicule you can easily level up faster because of the freak

The game could be boring if you could max out all levels within 4 hours, I just want to play the game and max out my skills while playing. Maxing out your skills are only 10% of the game, the rest is just having a lot of (co-op) fun finding different ways to kill people.

Actually I noticed while playing that the freaks seem to give off fewer orbs than Cell do. It's hard to tell when you're plowing through waves of them with a car, but run a single one over. Ditto for strength orbs, they only give off one or maybe 2 orbs per freak, as opposed to maybe 8 or 10 per Cell member. I guess if they hadn't done that it would unbalance the hell out of the leveling for certain things (explosives too for that matter) as there's huge numbers of them out at night.

The thing is that the freaks are all over the place and easy to run over, making driving exp easy to get as opposed to Crackdown 1 or killing cell agents which are either usually behind cover, in cars, or just hard to find.

In addition to Freaks being everywhere, there are few civilians around at night to hamper your progress by accidentally killing them. That alone will make maxing the Driving stat easier, since you won't be losing points for accidents.

They do give off fewer obs, but there's so damn many of em that it quickly makes up for the difference.
