Depending on what the secret achievements are and how long/hard it takes to get your skill levels up, it doesn't really look too hard to get points.

Depending on what the secret achievements are and how long/hard it takes to get your skill levels up, it doesn't really look too hard to get points.

Some sound easier than they are. For example, getting the "Jump" skill point is very hard, as is getting the "Evil" and "Hero" ones.

Others, like the "Pride of Bumblebee" are just time consuming. There are about 1000 energon cubes in the game (10 worlds, 100 cubes per). They are pretty easy to find, though some are hidden really well.

I've unlocked a few of the secret ones:

Look to the Stars
Megatron and the Decepticons are finished. Earth is safe...for now… (50 g)

Downtown Defender
The Last Stand has been made. There's only one thing left to do… (25 g)

Air Traffic Destroyer
Starscream's power knows no bounds. The airbase's defenses are obsolete. (25 g)

Suburban Scourge
The Autobots fall before you. The Suburbs are done for. (25 g)

Wrong Way!
You're living dangerously. Ram 250 Cars (15 g)

Sand Blaster
The humans have much to fear. Qatar is destroyed. (25 g)

Could You Describe the Ruckus?
Bumblebee caused a disturbance in order to escape the Hoover Dam with the AllSpark. (25 g)

Neighbourhood Watch
You continued your defense of The Suburbs as Jazz and Optimus Prime (25 g)

I know Kung-Fu
You are quite skilled Grasshoppa. Perform 1000 punches (30 g)

Suburban Hero
Bumblebee helped protect Sam in The Suburbs (25 g)

Review copy from Activision.

Is there anything more to that "Batter Up" Acheivement? I've hit plenty of enemies with swings.

As for the game "playing as good as it looks"... don't set your expectations too high :)

How did you get to review the game for Activision??? Sounds like something I would like to do.

As far as the batters up on?? No that is all I have on it. I wrote it straite from the guide book. Maybe you have to wind up the swing first.

Well I am a big TF, but it is a movie game so they are not too high. Just hope it gives me a few hours of fun, and satsify my need for TF till the movie comes out.

Could You Describe the Ruckus? Challenger

Anyone else know where this is from? I laughed when I saw it.

What in God's name is going on? What was that ruckus?

I no hear ruckus.

I heard a ruckus.

Can you describe this ruckus, sir?

You better watch your tongue, young man!

We were just sitting here.

You just bought yourself another detention.

That's not fair.

Cry me a river, dickface. You bought another one.

Eat my shorts.

What was that?

Eat my shorts!

Don't mess with a bull, you'll get the horns.

I'm shaking.

You got another.

Good!

You through?

Not even close, bud.

Want another one?

Yes.

You got it!

Good.

Another one. Had enough?

No.

Another one.

So?

I can keep going.

Go!

Eenie, meenie, minie...

Mo.

Your mom was a...

Ho.

He was a famous clown.

Bobo.

It is possible to get the game before the release dates if you go to a "Mom and Pops" store.

Blockbuster and EB Games will not release the game before the appointed time but a small independent store doesnt have the same constraints. I got Spiderman 3 a week ahead of time, same thing with Crackdown.

You could also become an established gaming columnist and keep hassling companies for prerelease games to write reviews on.

I think the achievements look okay, another good mix of story and random ones. I wouldn't mind if the game looks slightly crap, as long as I get to do the robot by idling my character =D

WarriorPriest13

Yea can't wait to play it. Only have a few more hours to go. I think a few of the achievements are funny. Like hitting an enemy with a giant phone.

I've been working as a game journalist for the last 10 years. Companies send games to my company (no harrassment needed -- we're well established) and I write reviews.

As for the "Mom and Pop" stores -- it depends on the ship dates. If a game ships early with a "street date", then it some will break it. Other times, the stores don't get it in until it ships.

I agree with this statement 100% but more often than not I do get regular games like Spiderman 3 or Transformers early using the mom and pops method.

I doubt this will work with a HIGH PROFILE game like HALO 3.

By the way Starscream how do you like the game and graphics?

StarscreamLSU
06-26-2007, 11:55 PM
Graphics are probably the best thing the game has going for it. Environments are small (5 little open-world hub areas), but you can destroy just about everything in them. Characters use the data from the movie, so they look and move like they should.

Gameplay has its fun moments, but is overall pretty, "meh". The difficulty level swings wildly, most of the time towards being more difficult. It isn't that "fun", challenging difficult though -- more like a grinding, frustrating difficulty. There are long, multi-area boss fights that bounce you back to the begining if you lose; bosses are inconsistant to the point where you get situtations where Megatron is a breeze but Ironhide is impossible.

Oh, and you have a "leader" chriping in your ear every minute to get to the next mission -- even after you beat all of them and replay the area. It's annoying as sin.

I gave it a 72/ 100 while my PC guy gave the PC version a 68, so averages out to about a 70.

In the suburbs look for a baseball diamond, on the sign of a nearby building are a pair of bats crossing each other. Punch, grab, and find someone to knock out of the park.

There are two Helio stores in downtown, one is right off of the main square/park, where the majority of your fights happen.

I have all the achievements except 4 or 5, I believe. I can't find, for the life of me, the giant phone or a giant tire. Any help would be appreciated^^ Oh, and how in blue hell do you get the Evil skill in the first Decepticon board? You never fight any autobots, only jets and trucks. I have every other skill! If anyone has a question on any of the other achievements, I'd be glad to help.

I posted this in another tread but here you go.... ;)
You have to go to the sumo challenge, I destroyed most of the tanks in vehicle mode. When a bot comes up to you, hit hit, then step back or pause, then hit, hit, then pause, you meter will go up. It takes a few tries to learn the timing. But so far this has worked on each level I have done.

Both guides have been updated to include all achievements. I will update with point values later today. If anyone would like to share startegys for the ones with no startegies, post in those threads and I will add and credit you!

Sharp Shooter

Its mission 3 when you are starscream. An easy way to do it is to not fly just lock on to the planes and blow them up. Then transform to get the falling parts. You need to do this as fast as you can since you need to beat it under 2:30.

I have the brady guide for this game and it doesn't show you where every cube is. In the 4th mission for the decepticons, i found 4 that aren't even on the map. But, i was also reading the guide and it states that there are a few cubes on top of buildings that you can only get when you use blackout. Has anybody found these cubes?? Because I only need 1 cube left to find of this map. I also need 2 on the first decepticon mission. If anybody could help me that would be great.

One cube not on the map is actually in the center of the park on the small hill with all the trees. Sorry but I do not remember where the other one was.

What is the best strategy for beating Prime in the end of the decepticon campaign? is where he goes random? i made it 3 times then couldn't find him the last time.

Where he goes as far as I know is not random. The best way to find him is to turn to jet mode and turbo up and down the city. When you get near him you will see blips on your radar. As far as fighting him goes melee all the way.

For anyone having trouble with the push the drones out of the ring sub-mission I found that if you just jump then press x to do the ground pound attack and it makes them go flying and then they slide out of the barrier. Hope this helps anyone having trouble.

This works on most drones but some of the bigger ones you have to hit with something first.;)

You have to get ALL skill markers for all levels. The autobot levels usually have the following:
Jump, slide, speed, throw, and heroic
The Decepticon levels usually have some or all from this list:
Jump, slide, speed, throw, destruction, and evil

If you need help with how to do these check out the achievement guide.

Sorry, but you do get points for the first time you preform each skill.

Not the billboard. The actual giant phones on top of the building. There are two on top. You have to use those to get it.

The best way to do it is ignore everything but the buildings. Move around the outside firing in. Once you level everything on the outside move in and take out the small buildings and there you go.

As far as the missing cube all i can say is check the dunes and look around crates.

Any tips for getting the jump skill on the second suburbs mission? When you go back in replay mode you're Prime and he's too slow to get any air off jumps (did the first one with Bumblebee without too much trouble), and I can't get the "jump in the lake" method to work... so yeah, what the hell should I do?

I actually had to do it with OP too so I feel your pain. But you can do it in one of two ways.

1. Do like I did and use OP and jump into the water. If you go onto the highway and go towards the lake from the oil yard or whatever, you can gain just enough speed for a 5* jump. Just aim for the middle of the lake and use the hill by Sam's house to launch yourself into the water. Water resets you, but your jump still goes up while it's resetting.

2. Go to the mission that's in the middle ring. I think it's the movie theater. It's the chase scene and you're the car (I forget who) just look around for jumps or use the lake method.

The area that you have to clear with more than 2:30 left is in the Starscream missions not Blackouts. That is why you are not able to do it. If you look at the achievement guide it will tell you how to get it.

You are a nicer person than I am. If someone is to lazy to look up answers to his own questions to get his achievements I say let him spend hours looking in the wrong spot or doing the wrong mission. Your guide is posted for a reason make them use it:(

Well if I don't answer then people will post a million posts asking over and over, so i figure it would save time. ;) But I do agree with you about they should be able to find it.

Is the 100% complete achievement a 1st time through get or do you get to go back and replay suburbs, more then meets the eye, etc after your beaten the game to finish sub missions, cubes and all the other collectable crap? If you have to get them all the 1st time through I need to know asap so I can restart the game sooner, thanks!

You can go back and play any level you want to increase your precentage. You do not have to do everything the first time thru.

How do you kill the enemies that are swinging some kind of chain around them?? I'm in the second suburbs map in the autobot campaign. I cant beat this damn attack challenge because the 7th dude is INVINCIBLE. No more normal ones will spawn it just stops on this 7th guy. Youre supposed to get 11 kills. I cant kill him and its frustrating the hell out of me. He swings a rope or chain around him and if you try to get close it just blows you back a hundred feet. I tried the ground pound and it knocks him off his feet but the melee doesnt do anything when hes down and he gets up so fast. Shooting doesnt damage him at all, whether hes standing or knocked down, primary or secondary fire. Throwing objects at him doesnt do anything either, they just bounce off. I'm so confused, any help would be much appreciated.

Edit: You have to throw something light at it while its swinging and then it stops and you can melee it. Why a lampost or tree will stun it and not a car or tank is beyond me. I cant believe TT had anything to do with this game. It is one of the most astonishingly wretched piles of shit I've had the displeasure of playing in quite some time. If I had to bash this game I wouldnt know where to start. And 800+ collection items? That is obnoxious. Crackdown had a crazy amount too but at least the game wasnt broken. Not sure if this is worth the 1000.

i just rented this game but i havent played it yet is it worth playing because it looks time consuming and doesnt sound too fun...

LethalEdge
04-01-2008, 01:01 AM
I'd say it's worth a rent. A few of the bosses on the last level are annoying and getting all the bloody Energon Cubes is time consuming but apart from that it's an ok fun game. Although not being able to kill the enemies with your guns because of their shields makes your weapons a bit pointless, 'specially when your playing the Autobot campaign.

from the guide:

"On the suburbs stages there is a baseball field. The building next to it has 2 blue giant bats on it. Pull one off and melee a drone with it."
