Pics look pretty crappy, they coulda done a lot better than them. Quite a few secrets as well, but I can guess the millionaire ones are just collect a million red orbs or w/e. And I'm also guessing that a few of the secrets are SSS's in certain missions.

I think the fifth achievement and the sixtennth achievement on the list are mission achievements and I wonder if I did what Nero did in the trailer at tokyo would I get three achievements in one because he hot a SSS with one move if you have seen it.

Looks like theres a good amount of variety in the achievements and a couple look like they will be extremely hard (SSS ratings) and very time consuming. I'm actually glad they kept most of them secret, sometimes knowing all of them beforehand can really alter my playing experience. Definitely looking forward to this game!!

These achievements are gonna be ridiculous. Looks like you have to be amazing to get a decent amount of points in this game.

As long as I don't have to SSS Dante/Nero Must Die I should be able to get 1000.

I really hope for SSS the conditions are lenient or can be done on any difficulty.

If anyone else is here is familiar with DMC 1 and 3 then you know what is involved in S ranking(DMC1) or SS ranking(DMC3). In DMC 3 while you can get scratched and still SS rank a mission on say Normal Mode, on DMD you cannot get touched at all. On top of that you have to acquire X amount of style points and orbs, finish the mission under certain a time and never use items. In other words, you have to be flawless.

I've S ranked DMC1 on DMD and SS ranked DMC3 on DMD mode and it's not something you can pull off after playing the game one or two times. You have to learn the game inside and out, backwards and forwards.

No, DMD isn't one-hit kill, Heaven or Hell was. In DMD you take a lot of damage, the enemies will also DT (devil trigger) and the tougher enemies show up in early levels.

If its as hard to get an S ranking on DMC4 as it was 3.... this will be a 10 out of 10 difficulty game.... but they might tone down the difficulty because it was the last games only real fault how new players just couldn't play it.

Whaaaaaaa? 100% secret achievements? I don't think I have ever seen that one before! Other than that, I hate when games put the same pictures for like 15 achievements, mainly just looks like alot of "complete this chapter" stuff, which sometimes just isn't as much fun. I think the combo and S ranking ones might be interesting though.

I don't think I'll ever get 1000 in this game and I'm quite amazed to see a lot of people who believe they will. Some of the achievements are really hard, some are easy and some just seem hard at first, like the SSS Combo (which you can get easily on mission 11 because there is a Statue/Enemy that will only brake and give you red orbs if you destroy it with a SSS Combo.

These achievements are difficult enough as it is. And I'm really looking forward to Ninja Gaiden II. But not if the achievements are going to be downright impossible.

I could deal with maybe 25-30% of the achievements being very difficult to obtain. But anything more than starts to seriously detract from the fun had trying to unlock them. And instead turns into a frustrating experience.

Human mode is the mode in which u play as a human, devil hunter mode is the mode in which u play a devil hunter, when u first start off the game, u only have those 2 options

i got s ss and sss achievenement at the same exact time i just beat 3 guys up with nero i think on misson 10 and boom got it the cup rounth over is 100.000 orbs in total so if u spent your orbs dont worry about it

Getting S Ranks on this game is alot easier than the other games. In the the first 3 they would count against your rank by how much damage you would take, so with the removal of that it should be alot easier to get S's

I dont think its 100% yet, but someone said that you need all blue orb fragments aswell (thus completing the achievements for all secret missions and max vitality)

You have to clear all game modes not just difficulties. Basically it just means you have to clear the Bloody Palace, as well as Heaven and Hell/Hell and Hell.

The achievements don't stack so if you want to get the Human difficulty achievements you have to finish Human mode, to get Devil Hunter achievements you have to finish Devil Hunter mode, same for Son of Sparda, Dante Must Die, Heaven Or Hell, and Hell And Hell.

I agree its a cheap way of increasing re-playability and getting you to stay with the game longer. Fortunately Devil May Cry 4 is a fun game so repeating it a few times if fine, but if I had a choice I wouldn't be playing 6 times plus re-plays to get S ranks.

Those are exactly my thoughts, I ran through mission 8 quite a few times on human to get a better rank. Devil hunter i did it straight off...

The game has great replayability, i just wish i didn't suck!

How do I jump that far? I have learned that if I run then I can jump..but It always jumps on the side not strate. But just lock at the video and you see that he stops! and jumps from standing...:confused:

If you have a problem like me...You just stop center nero (burning rom:D) and press at the same time RB+Y ant there you go :)

For that blue orb you can also use either air hike to jump further or use grab (after using a streak Rb + Y).

thsi is how i did it.

1.Unlock super nero
2.Pick the final mission of the game on any diff(i did it on heaven or hell
3.Beat the last level
4.the achievement should unlock

It ain't that hard at all, I haven't even tried the other games, and I'm close too 800, I have yet to finish the game on Hell and Hell as Super Nero, that will give me the Speak of the Devil, Tonight We Dine in Hell and A Throne of Glory achievements for about 80G.

Also, DMD is a bit of a pain, but as I said, I was new to DMC and now I only need S on 3 more levels on DMD, which I'm gonna get soon enough. Besides that, the only achievement I find remotely 'impossible' is S-rank on Bloody Palace, it seems to be too damn hard without the Super characters. Ah well.

In the end it is just a matter of time to get these achievements. The learning curve is pretty great and well balanced for a "simple" Action/Hack'N'Slay game. It is also motivating as hell, rarely frustrating and the achievements keep you coming back for it.
I can understand though that many people are annoyed that they do not get that many gamerscore points in the first 10 hours or to put it another way after they beat it the first time. This game is just meant for completing it multiple times and the gameplay is so great that you can enjoy it again and again.

I also agree that S-Rankings on DMD and the Bloody Palace are the toughest parts of it.

This game can be very hard though that mainly depends on your skill level, it WILL be very time consuming to get 1000GS, most complete the game around the 100 hour mark. So only start this game if your can spend alot of time with it.

You're right, don't even think by just rushing through all difficulties you'll be around the 800's, wrong....when I finished Son of Sparda I had less than 300 GS.

yeah, I believe there's no saves/checkpoints or anything like that in it, just run through all in the 1 go, ive only got as far as level 17 though.

Your correct there are no checkpoints, you cannot save the game, and if you die you will have to start from the beginning. If you are going for an S rank in the Bloody Palace, you cannot use either Super Nero or Super Dante, good luck to both of you.

Yes they do. Actually that a good way of getting it. There are around 700 enemies in Bloody Palace...

Rewmac is correct they do count although I would like to add if you are going for 100% completion then you will likely be replaying levels to get more proud souls so I wouldn't bother boosting for this achievement, as you will get it whilst going for the proud souls.

For anyone that is going for proud souls I would recommend level 19 on Dante Must Die, using healing items will have a minimal effect on your score (avoid gold orbs though), so surviving shouldn't be a problem. Use the Dice to keep landing on the red circles which will mean you keep fighting enemies. You have around an hour to complete the mission (and still get an S rank). You should average around 10,000+ proud souls per run.

i also have another tip if your like me who is going for the legendary devil hunter achievement on mission 11 ( the ninth circle) on heaven or hell mode as nero you will come up to a gate with a pressure pad on either side which requires you to snatch or buster the scarecrows onto it, instead stand near the gate and fire into them as they respawn infinitely so if you keep repeating this you should get it no time.
