Doom 1 glitch work in Doom 2?

Does anyone know if the glitch from Doom 1 where you joined a multiplayer game, left, and then had all the keys when you went back into Single Player (after goin to the dashboard and what not) Still works?

It would help alot if i got stuck on a level on Ultra Violent :P

There's no save feature in MP like in Doom 1 prob to stop this glitch :-(

It's not that hard, there's just more enemies. As long as you stay back and kill everything you should be fine.
