Career Points?

does anyone know if you can replay chapters you have already beaten and still get career points from them because sometimes ill play a chapter over and ill get points then there is other times when it will give me zilch and another question if you can where is the best place to boost career points campaign or multiplayer?

And its 100% random in my opinion, ive done 80 more kills all the data posts, 3 less deaths, and got only 1,000 more points

Something I have noticied is when you complete a chapter it sometimes says I earned zero points. But when I went back to the menu's, the career points had still been added. Hopefully that's the same case for you and others.

if you mean 0000 career points, ive never seen this, and my comment stands
if you mean you get say 5,948 points but the bar doesnt move, in my experience i only see the bar move when i LEVEL but it will always add on the points

Yea I do mean 0000 career points, but i've only seen this once or twice.

You can get 0 points in an online match if your DNF % is below 30.

So maybe your confused and just making a useless thread up.

Career points are gained from getting better rankings. To get better rankings, get more and more streaks, and as many GJ's as you can get. Also use different abilites. Points 1 and 2, Lag Start, and abilities like that, give you a slight boost in points, while Superstar doubles, can even triple your points at times.

Nah, I'm not trying to make a fuss or anything, just saying that getting zero career points has happened to me while playing the campaign once or twice before. I just mentioned it because the OP said he sometimes got zero career points. Even then it's not something to panic about, because it still added on points, just said zero at the end of the chapter. So i'm not confused, but sorry if I somehow confused you.

Also, I've never had a problem with the online not giving my any points. Unless you mean above 30%? highest I've been is 10%.

I'm pretty sure it does. I played single player on mission 1-1, got the gold streak for my machine gun on S and M sized akrids, died a few times, and still got it. Play co-op, same difficulty, run in there and kill everyone, got a bronze streak, no one died, and everyone got a B.

are you accounting for more players, and not being host?

heres a 4x game i was in

host: 5,388
2: 5,443
3: 4,169
me: 6,103 (no point add ons on anyone)

host: 1 death

host: 13 Small kills
(2 left at this point, their a bit old pics)
3: 29 small kills
4: 52 small kills

host: 2 large
3: 4 large
me: 13 large

me: 4 Gold GJ in Co op/Battle and several lower ones

also ive done runs on 1-1 alone

0 deaths
305 kills
43 awards from bronze to gold
and got 7,192 points per run with a B average

Last I heard, the number of career points you get comes a lot from the amount of damage you do, which i suppose may as well just be kill count. I don't really know if that's what makes the most of it, but for now that's what I'm going to assume, since I tend to get hardly any points when I run around doing objectives while my friends covers me.
