My record is 13-1 on career mode with my lone loss coming to stefan struve. I want to get the hall of fame achievement so im presuming like ufc 09 you cant get more than 2 losses. My only fight option is struve and he keeps beating me even tho i batter him the whole fight. Any one else having similar problems?

I wouldn't say i was bad at the game but ok and trying to beat frank mir in the career in near impossible and it's only on experienced difficulty

If you go into the help section, it tells you the requirements for HOF. I think they are:

25 UFC wins
1 title win
5 title defenses
1 Champion vs Champion win (you get to do this after defending the title 5 times)

The other requirements have to do with popularity.

I played on easy mode and got the HOF achievement. I learned 2 punches (ducking right/left hook). I then maxed my strength/stamina/speed. The only thing I leveled up is standing strikes. I won all my matches using LB + punch.

Title fights are still kinda hard. If I got brought to the ground, I lost since none of my other stats were leveled. You can save before the match. If you lose, just exit to the dashboard.

The only other match that was hard was the Champion vs Champion match. It went to th 2nd round, but I knocked out Tito early in the round.

I'm horrible at this game. So, it is possible to get the HOF achievement without having any skill.

i noticed that the game makes the Ai opponents really easy and then all of a sudden it will boost the difficulty by like x10 making it nearly impossible to win a specific match. the computer will block, counter and shunt anything u try and then they will 1 punch you and knock you out or get you on the ground and because their stats are really high you cant do anything to get them off you. then when u loose the difficulty goes back down again.

Career mode was very easy for me to beat infact I only lost my first 2 matches and if I lost anything else I would do the center button trick and return to dash board so it wouldn't save my loss then I would retry to fight back :) in the end I went like 50 - 2 ish.

Try turning the career to easiest setting if you have not already and it should make it better.

It's a lot easier this year to get the Hall of Fame.

I got it in year 7 or 8, but I was just doing it on experienced difficulty...my record was like 34-3 at the time I believe.

But this is key...after you win the belt, defend FIVE times...they will ask if you want to move up weight classes after THREE successful title defenses, but decline and defend two more times. After your fifth title defense they will offer you the title vs title fight.

Once your cred gets maxed out just keep doing popularity boosts in the post fight interviews.

To get into the Hall Of Fame you have to meet these requirements.
- Win at least 25 fights
- Win a title and defend it at least 5 times
- Win a Champion vs Champion fight
- Have at least 50,000 in CRED
- Have your status to at least Well Known

dnt worry it quite easy to get hall of fame this year

is it possible to change the difficulty once you already started career? if so, how?

I had the same problem when I did middleweight...he killed me twice then I finally beat him in a 3rd match and got to do an interview and talked shit about him lol.

I breezed through the light heavy though, but I learned a lot about creating a better fighter by then too.

Make a heavy-weight and then go straight striking. I typically knock the person I'm fighting out in less then 20-30 seconds. The elbows are absolutely nasty when they land

i just got the title , and i got rocked in a fight thats the worst that has happened to me but Quinton Jackson is next! i only learned a slam and got my kimura to level 3. i dont know if its too late to start learning moves i need a headkick and strong punch and i want rubber guard and a submission and escape from there. I wanted the armbar from clinch that frank mir has but i dont think its learnable? and some strong punches from side control/mount. all this possible without losing many skill points?

Once your fighter is ranked 10 the difficulty jumps up. Use gameplan to battle against your opponents strengths. I.E If your beating your opponent and he end up beating you than you would have a gameplan for a long fight or if you're getting subbed out than you would have a gameplan for submission.

If you want a good and easy to learn headkick, go for “GSP“s Headkick“ over at Greg Jackson“s Gym. It finished off pretty much all of my opponents in round 1. I'm 12-0 right now.

But for those who are having difficulties: Remember it's a Mixed Martial Arts game, not a (Kick/Thai) Boxing game. You actually have to think as a Mixed Martial Artist. Be prepared for everything, don't focus on 1 move.

For example, I focus on my striking, especially my headkicks, but I don't just try to get my strike offenses up asap, I'm also focussing and training on standing strikes defense, takedown defense, grond striking defense and submission defense, so I will be prepared for situations I don't want to be in, escape and bring the fight back to where I'm at my best. Standing, using my reach advantage and my leg kicks.

It all depends on what you are focussing on. Want to be a good ground fighter? Also work on your strike defenses then.

It's pretty diffcult because they throw you in with the best fighters when your stats are around 40. No matter how well you play it's hard to beat the UFC fighters with much higher stats. I'm playing on experienced difficulty and the AI reverses 85% of my transitions and It's hard to stop their takedowns. I guess I'm just going to have to lose several fights in order to get my stats up.

I beat career mode 52-0 but the every title fight you get in if you are the challenger then the game switches to expert even if your on begginer its so bs if you are the champion its back to easy fights but as soon as you become a title challenger the difficulty shoots up to bs mode and its almost impossible to win

Career mode was actually quite easy for me. I retired with a record of 50-3. Wasnt to hard for real.

I havent found career mode to be to hard, however I'm stuck on Mir who keeps making me tap. All my defenses are at 70 and I cant KO him, Even though in my past fights I've done it easy. I'm guessing like everyone said, the difficulty shoots up and down.

Seems like around the 13th or 14th fight it gets a lot harder!

The only thing that makes title fights or any of the fights hard is your opponent taking you down, so I found it easy to counter that by either clinching them against the cage or taking them down first and working a little ground and pound on them. If they block the takedown, then clinch and slam them, you'll end up in side control and then you can get them in full mount very easily

I went 44 and 4 on normal and still got the achievment, the championship matches were the biggest bitch for me. I cannot get the create a fighter and use him to beat the cpu I have done it a million times and it still will not unlock for me.

this game is driving me nuts, its the same cheap bollocks as last year, seriously.

ive read guides before i started my career in order to plan the fighter, so far its been a breeze, i run like 14-0, then i get my first title shot against this brazilian piece of shit that makes me tap out EVERY DAMN TIME. im spinning the stick like a madman, prolly already wasted it, and still he manages to win via submission even at THE BEGINNING OF FIGHTS!
it drives me insane how they claim to have changed the system big time, while it remains the same brainless trash it was last year! only they dont make you use turbo controllers anymore, no, they want you to destroy controllers!
i know i kinda neglected submission defense (it runs at 30) because ive so far never encountered a fighter using submissions at all, but this is still cheap!

im playin on fuckin beginner man, this is a joke. not beginner-friendly at all.
