Question about collectibles

My apologies if this was already posted, I looked a few pages back and found nothing.

I just completed a playthrough on Normal, but missed a few collectibles (I have 89 thermoses, 81 manuscripts, 13 TV shows, etc.).

When I start a playthrough on Hard, does everything reset to 0 or do I only have to find the ones I missed?
