I have completely forgot what the controls are for dueling. I only did the first one by tutorial but that was 8 hrs ago. I don't remember how to duel anymore, and I continue to get killed. Please help, I just need to know what to press after I paint the target.

You just continue pulling the trigger until the bar is full, when it gets to the top, you just automatically shoot.

Is there a way to fire without filling the bar up the whole way, say if I just wanted to wound the opponent.

What good is that if I continue to pull the trigger, notch, notch, notch, notch, boom I'm dead. This isn't helpful, all I need is that one target spot and then pull the trigger, can anyone help.

I don't pull my gun out until it says draw(this is not when the meter appears, wait for the word draw on screen, it'll flash the screen) . Doing it straight away makes it hard to get the meter higher. Also, aim for the gun or his head and if it isn't full on first shot, try different areasm (just a little away) as the same spot brings basically no meter. Apparently, when the cursor is white you get more. I don't know as I just aim for the hand and it goes to full meter straight away.

I'm having the same problem. I cover the dude with targets, but meter does not fill up. It seems like John M. not pulling his gun out. If you find out how this works please help!

Rockstar should have included a "single player" instruction manual too.

I find aiming at the head is the best way to fill the bar up. I have tried a bunch of different areas but that one works quickest just take your time and put it between his eyes

You need to use dead eye and place shots in enough critical spots (head, draw arm, leg, etc) to fill up the bar quickly. If you just do random spam shots you will die most the time.
