How do i just light them and run as I presss RB it throws them

if i remember you hold the button and hell walk with it.

Hold the RB down I think.

You got me thinking now, I've done 2 and a hlaf playthroughs now and I don't think I've run with a flare once.

Yeah, you hold RB and you'll walk with it out. Throwing it down can also be handy though, for example if you need to reload and need some space.

Yeah, or drop one whilst you're trying to start a generator or even just drop it as you run through parts to the next checkpoint for some space between you and Taken.
