How is driving that hard?

It seems that everyone I talk to about skill progression in Crackdown says that driving is extremely hard for them to level up in. I really don't understand how it's that hard to get up.... I had my driving at 4 stars on the day that the game came out and was maxed out on driving the very next day. I'm just wondering why so many people think that it's hard.

Part of the problem is that people just don't want to drive a car ever. Everyone has really taken to jumping across the rooftops rather than trying to take a car somewhere.

Of course, my brother and I found a real easy way to up your driving skill. He was playing his file and took the Agency Truck Cab and went the wrong way on the highway. He tried to hit as many enemy vehicles as possible. He was at 2 starts and in about 2 hours he was up to 4 star.

I agree that maxing driving isn't hard, it's just not as cool to work towards as the other statistics.

3rd easiest probable behing strength and explosives. In my opinion the stats in order of difficulty from easiest to hardest are...

1. Strength
2. Explosives
3. Driving
4. Shooting
5. Agility

It's more of a list of which takes the longest because none of these are hard.

I also went hand to hand rather than shooting, so it took forever to build up my shooting level. Driving isn't too bad. I just went did a bunch of flips and stunts and my points added up pretty quick.

driving is most difficult for me as well. mainly because I run too many people over

For me, driving was second to last. Right before shooting.

Driving was not hard, just very repetative. I was unable to run over gang members for driving, so I just kept driving my SUV out of the Los Muertos tunnel, doing a front flip, driving back, and repeat. Very boring, but very easy.

What I did is I took the Agency Truck Cab and Drove it on the wrong side of the highway. It might get the police mad at you, but after awhile, you start to figure out which cars are gangs because they swerve.

It's not really "hard" ... it's just very, very tedious. I didn't even bother with the races until I'd beaten the game. I just sat around hitting people so I could force it to level up.

I had the most fun maxing out my driving. Running over fools and setting up crazy jumps with those ramp trucks. Hell yeah! Once you get to 4 stars and are trying to max it all the way out it is really easy because all you have to do is bunny-hop while drive at a good rate of speed and you will get a nice chunk of skill points.
