Glitched achievements???

Ok now this is kind of pissing me off.

I printed a walkthrough to find all the metal plates and all those stupid birds... seriously i am 100% sure i havnt missed a single one of those.
I had 6 of 6 birds and 3 of 3 metal plates on every chapter.

However... upon completion of this game the 3rd and 4th propaganda achievments and the gold bird achievment DID NOT unlock... this is pretty lame.

Is anyone else experiencing this ****ed up glitch???

hmm , i just took the time to read through the other topics on this game.. just saw im not the only one.

ehm , crappy thing though that those achievements are glitched for some ppl and for others not. Ah well, ill just head onto the next game for some more points cuz i cba to play through the game again not knowing for sure if it will unlock.

You have to do all the episodes in order. I had the same issue until I started the game from start to finish, then everything unlocked.!

I experienced the same thing. I ended up just starting a new game, where I picked everything up. I think I got the achievement about halfway through, after picking up at least twice the amount of birds and plates I needed.

hmmm... so are you saying the achievement for using all weapons will also unlock if i do the whole game in order from front to back?

damn. i need to go rent this or somethin... that last achievement has been bugging me.

About the propaganda reports, according to all the guides I have seen, you need to find 3 metal pieces for the first, 9 for the second, 29 for the third & 30 for the fourth. The thing is, once you find 3 and get the first, you will have to find 9 MORE, to get the second, and then an additional 29, for the third and yet another 30 for the fourth. So you actually have to find 71 metal pieces for all four propaganda reports. Which means that you have to find all the metal pieces twice, and then 11 more.... :S :P I'm not sure about the birds though

every acheivement works fine on this game. you must get all birds and all metal peices in one game to get the last 2 achievements for those. meaning you cannot reload any mission, you must follow them linear. if you die, sure you can continue fine and still get them but if you miss a bird in level 3 and you don't realise it till after you start level 4, you must restart a new game from the start. as for the all weapons achievements its easiest to beat the entire game with melee only, you can then load any level up in any order to get the firearms and any missing melee. they are not linear required.

wow. i had the same problem with the propoganda reports. wish i would have known this info before i beat the game and replayed select levels one by one. this achievement pisses me off!

This was a helpful post for me. I complete the game all the way through but missed one firearm, now I know I can go back and do level 8 to get this achievement. Still have to do the game over for the 100% melee, but on easy will be....well....easy.

What about the achievement for finding clues. Can you reload a chapter and do the one clue in order to get it or do you need to go from start to finish again to unlock it?

I have played this game through and have all 970 points and I am pretty sure I never had to go back and repeat the whole game again, for the achievements I missed.

I think if you miss a bird or a piece of metal you need to go back to that same level (set on the same hardness/easiness factor) as all your other saves and recollect them all for that level so all 6 birds and all 3 metal pieces, then at the end of the level the achievement unlocks.

If you have missed either a bird and a piece of metal on each level, then you may as well set it on easy and settle in for the night.

Possibly mine is just not glitched!

I realize this may have been said before but, the achievements won't glitch or the birds reset if you replay the mission at the end review. I know I missed a bird or two on several missions and when I finished them, I just pressed X to restart that chapter and went through it again, making sure to find ALL birds and metal pieces that time through. I read another thread that said the Golden Bird achievement glitched, because of the total birds resetting when you reload chapters. If you do as above and restart the chapter right after finishing it, it won't affect your achievements. None of the achievements glitched for me at all.

Well, I'm in this little brainless hell of glitch. If a developer wants you to strive for an achievement, why not make it something they've tested or clarified so that you have some perameters. I realize that this game was a launch title, but if I'm replaying levels just to finish the last measley 3 achievements, then I'm miffed that these collecting quests couldn't be done in a sensible manner. There's my bitch rant, now:

It seems that there are two minds about this glitch--does anyone have any info from a reliable source (ie, the developer, manual writer, etc.) that will describe our quandry? It seems that we've all played it differently, and now these possibilities vary wildly. Since these are enjoyable and easy achievements to unlock, perhaps a revision is in order for the guide and at least more definitive instructions could be given in this thread.

What If i by accident miss one of the items and then restart chapter or checkpoint....will it then glitch, leading me to start a new game once more?


and the game wont give me any "propagande reports" exept on the first level :/

I got all the birds and metal pieces in order, and when I finished the game I didn't get the last prop. achievement even though it showed all collected in my stats... After some research I started a new game and got the achievement after collecting a couple pieces of metal in the first chapter! Apparently sometimes some pieces don't register for the achievement, but if you find a couple more you will get the achievement! Hope this helps!

I freaking hate playing thru a game 3 or 4 times just to get a lousy achievement for 20 points. And especially for a game that only has 970, I'm not gonna kill myself. I like this game a lot, but not enough to play it thru again.

Yeah I had a couple problems with dodgy achievements in this game, the bird achievements and the weapon ones. I got all the birds and didn't get the Gold Bird Award achievement, I played a level over and it unlocked it for some reason. And, the achievement where you fire every gun or whatever, that achievement acted the same way. Kinda gay that you can only get to 970 in this game too. I mean seriously lol, just make a patch or something that adds a 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg achievement, jeez...
