Linkin Park was only good once, and that was the demo of the their first CD that I have, then it got produced to hell and was only about half as good. Then they started taking dumps on recording equipment and selling it, and here we are today.

I still have that demo, and it's still awesome, but from then on it was all downhill. We'll see how this one turns out, I suppose, but I doubt any good will come.

Got to agree- the demo that not many people heard was quality, the first album was still amazing, the second not as good, and then they sold out with a load of crap remixes.

Did like the stuff with Jay-Z as it was different tho

Well I hadn't been a fan of LP for years, but I loved "Qwerty", so if it's similar, I would probably become a fan again.

The only song I've heard from the new album is "What I've done", which I thought was okay. (Heard it on YouTube)

that main Mike S. guy has some crazy producing/beat making skills, but the rest of the group is kind of weak... anyone ever heard the stuff he made under "Fort Minor". his rhymes suck bad, but his music is really good.

i'm not gonna lie though, i bumped both of their full albums for a good while. the remixes were weak though.

Not the top of my list... I lost any interest after the Remix album. I really hate when bands rerelease crap like that.

I won't be buying it.

Although around that time, Big D & The Kids Table and LTJ are going to be here, so I am psyched :uzi:

I used to be a big fan of LP but really only listened to their 1st CD, which I still play and think is one of the best that I have heard in a while...quality stuff! I will stay away from those remixes though ;)

If anyone gets the new one, let us know if it is good or not...

Only the single is, the versions of the album out there are fake, most containing songs from Chester's old band and the Hybrid Theory Demo EP

I like the single, but I might be biased since Linkin Park are one of my favourite bands

I also got the CD, it sucks. Three good songs, two of them are Shinoda. Huge disappointment, cant wait for them to realize they suck now and re-release in the old way, or for Fort Minor to make a new CD.

See people are going crazy over Minutes To Midnight. just like they did w/Meteora. But when it comes out their gonna realize that it's no Hybrid Theory. And their gonna be like Ozzz Nozzzzz. I mean a band can only make so many good songs. But seriously guys. It's all about Serj Tankians solo album comming out this year. Ahhh SOAD is tha best. But I've heard two songs from Minutes To Midnight and all I have to say is there better be more Rapping and Screaming on the rest of the album.

This CD is different but sometimes different can be good. I have been listening to the cd for a couple weeks and I like it alot more then I did when I first heard it. Songs like "Wake" and "valentine's Day" are questionable but the albums is saved with hits like "What I've Done", "No More Sorrow" "Hands Held High" "given Up" and my fav "bleed it out" (even though it has 2 verses that last about 45 seconds and then you hear chester say the name of the some for 2 more minutes, the first 45 seconds are good though!)

I'm pretty excited to hear it. I like the single (video kinda of sucks though.) And if you haven't listened to the Fort Minor cd, it is a great hip hop album, even if you hate anything linkin park.

I was afraid of this, I haven't heard any of it yet but I was wanting another Hybrid Theory to blast my eardrums out with, since then it has been down hill....... at least JayZ is gone now:drunk

Meh, I liked them with Hybrid Theory a while back, I usually skip them in shuffle on both the CD's I have of theirs. Unless this CD is amazing, I doubt I'll pick it up. But this is the first I've heard of it. I don't really follow Linkin Park that much.

I got the CD and I personally like the album. The change in style for me seemed natural. I'm not into the rapping part of the old CDs as the rest of the music, I really don't listen to rap.

However, the two Shinoda rap songs "Hands Held High" and "Bleed It Out" were done beautifully. I liked them a lot. Shinoda even sings lead vocals on "In Between" and sings backup vocals for the rest of the album.

Honestly, narrow-minded people won't get this- but the album is a huge protest against America. It's most evident in anti-Bush track "Hands Held High" and the track about Hurricane Katrina written after LP visited New Orleans (and probably the strongest song on the album) "The Little Things Give You Away".

I can definitely see people not liking their new style. I can also definitely see new people coming into their fanbase. It's how LP wants to express themselves artistically, and I'm not going to question that. My favorite part of LP is probably the vocals which really sold the album for me. Chester's beautiful voice really shines in tracks like "Leave Out All The Rest" and "The Little Things Give You Away." And we finally get to hear him drop some raspy f-bombs.

Needless to say, I enjoyed the album. Even if you don't really like LP or their new style, I think it would be worth one listen-through just to see how they combine metaphorical message with talent.

I really like the cd. I'm a big linkin park fan and fort minor fan anyways. But i can't belive nobody like the remixes. I like the remix of High voltage and My december were hotter then the originals. Super zero is one of my favorite songs of all time.

God damn, if it's a zillion remixes like (I believe this is the title) Re-Animation or whatever is. That's stupid as hell in my opinion.

Is that what it is?

NA...wont catch me listening/downloading this junk! I gave up on crap-metal (I mean "rap metal"...freudian slip :biglaugh ) a long time ago. Ever since the first KORN CD (which is by far the best crap-metal CD ever), its all gone downhill! Buy death metal I say, least its true to itself and isn't over-produced!

thieflordgamer

No, this CD isn't remixes at all.

And Linkin Park's new style is nothing like they're older CDs (which were a combination of nu-metal/rapcore). Just in case you were thinking it's the same stuff.

I've only heard What I've Done from the new album. I heard that the nu-metal/hip hop style from their first two albums was no longer present and that it was more of a trendy punk style that took over. Any truth to this?

As a diehard LP fan I must say I'm truly disappointed here. Not so much in the change of style but in the lack of anger, and pain.

I like all of my music to be painful, and filled with anger. Nothing worse than having your favorite artist get all happy and start making crappy songs.

Three Days Grace for example, from "I Hate Everything About You" to "Home" their last CD rocked out. This time around from "Pain" to "Animal I Have Become" all kept that same feeling which drives the Wreckon.

As for LP, where is my "Shut Up When I'm Talking to You", "Don't Turn Your Back on Me, I Won't Be Ignored", "The Worst Part of Me, Is You"... you know what I mean.

This album was a huge let down... rant over.

Thats it in a nutshell. If I want happy crap then i'll stop going in a mosh pit.

While im in the pit, I want to be in a dark place, mentally and physically.

I liked all of their cds. LP is the one group i will buy all of their cds, you know you are gettting quality. Other artists release cds that have 1 maybe 2 or 3 good songs on it and LP every song is good. Remix cds was good, i don't know why everyone hates it. In The End was the best on that cd. Anyway new cd is great I liked it.

Sorry, but the Reannimation CD was possibly the biggest pile of wank i have listened to. It makes this album sound like a masterpiece. And that takes some doing

I loved Reannimation, thought it was cool that they redid Hybrid Theory, loved it.

And I hated Minutes to Midnight at first, but I have listen to it a few more times and I'm starting to dig it.

I bought it and have to say I like it. My favorite track is Number 3 - Leave out all the rest. LP is a great band. I own all their CD's and I thought Reanimation was just a quick buck scam. Hybrid theory and Meteora were worth it and think that M2M is edging out hybrid theory as their best CD though "In the End" is still my favorite song by them. 4/5

What people are saying is very true. LP used to be good up until Meteora then when Collision Course came out they regained their original status! I've only heard one or two songs from this new album but I have every intention of buying it! It's sounding great and their website to promote it is great! Long Live LP

M2M deff. has a diff sound/style then LP's older albums. I don't completely like the transition but it's still enjoyable music. shinoda's tracks bleed it out and hands held high are good but my favorites go between Leave Out All The Rest and In Pieces. Not for everybody but I recommend ppl at least give it at least one listen through.

New album is good, different types of songs spread out though which is quite weird but it works. No More Sorrow, Bleed it Out, Given Up are the songs which I expect of Linkin Park and knew I'd like, however there are also songs like Shadow of the Day, Hands Held High and Valentines Day which are less of the screaming and more passionate meaningfull songs.

But yeah, good album I recomend.

I Didn't like it at first but know I love it. Especially In Pieces, In Betweens, Bleed It Out, and The Little Things Give You Away. I like What I've Done but not as much as the others.

Bleed It Out, Given Up and What I've done are probably the best on the cd. Is 'What I've done' getting much airplay over there in u.s.a or england?
