Playing Co-op

I just bought this game off Amazon today and was wondering that if my brother and I played together with co-op (we have separate gamertags) would we still get the achievements if we played together?

If u were both logged in at the same time then yes you should do.

I don't know if it was just us, but from personal experience, when my boyfriend and I played this, I was p1 and he was p2. I was the only one that got the storyline achievements, but he was able to get the others. I can't confirm the collectible cheeves, though.
