New Rankingboard for our members!

[RoutineX]

We're working on getting a rankingboard for all of our forum members.
The page will be updated automatically and with more details that we have today so Krazie1 don't have to manually update all the time. He will still manage the adding of new users, so keep signing on on the "Submission for Leaders list" thread and he will add you to the new leaderboards.


The finished result will be up in about a day, but we've opened a test page if anyone wanted to see/comment.


Before you visit the link please keep in mind.


This is just the test for the 25 users at the top of the list. The final version will have everyone, even if you have 0 points.
The design isn't complete, comments are appreciated.
The "Tier" column will be explained. Its basically wether a user has a gold/silver account or just a xbox.com account.
There will also be a link for every gamercard for a statistic page for just that person with all games, percentage bars and other cool stuff :)

Did you press the link or copy/paste?
vBulletin shorts a url after it get a specific length and makes "..." in stead of the part of the link.

It should be ok in Opera and IE.

if i open it in IE6 i can see it, but if i use the login box on that page to login and then i couldnt see anything, i went back to it before the login (pressing the back button) and it was all white, i loaded it in IE6 again and it showed it, its pretty cool, but we need to find out why its showing up as white sometimes

I found the cause of the white screen. It was just that I didn't apply the leaderboards to all of the templates. I've done it now, and added a new xbox theme i found, hope it's better than this :)

A cool stat to add to the page, which u mentioned before, would be the total number of games completely finished with perfect gamer scores..

yeah, there will be links on all forum skins and on the front page once every user is on the list and its updating as it should. We have to try some values on the update time first to see how much load it would cause on the server.

Yes, it will auto update. I've added all 110 people from the other list, now it just need to seperate into pages with 25 people pr page and add more detailed statistics

Go to the leader board forum and post in the submission thread, i will add you whenever Routine gets it set up and passes me a password to update it..

Havent finished with the tier, but it means basically:
6 = the person has a Xbox Live Gold membership, 3 means Silver, and 0 means just a xbox.com account :)

Hmm, yeah, that would be a better idea.
The only problem is that with the feed from microsoft, we can only get the 16 last games at the moment =/ so we can only see how many games of those 16 are complete. I'll look if there is another way with our partner though.

Thats cool, but like i said. The feed from Microsoft has its limitation so we can only get the 16 previous played games =/ So all the quick thousands you played that arent in the previous 16 played games, they won't be there =/

But I'll ask the guy at top360tag.com since they have all games played in the list :)

I read some info on the site and it said that they refresh the top 1000 everyday and the rest or top 10000 (not sure) every week.

We try to keep the data on the site current, but you people rack up so many Gamerpoints that it's just not possible. Our priority is to keep the data current for the top scorers and the people competing in our contests. Here is the schedule we try to maintain:

Top 100,000 Scores - Updated daily
Next 100,000 Scores - Updated weekly
Everyone else - Updated when we can

The rankingboard itself should be auto updating now with some hours interval. It wasnt up until recent since I had a typo that weren't noticed until now that crashed the updates, not sure if you have noticed it.

The only thing that needs to be fixed is 25 users pr page, but that isn't really anything that ruins anything, so just add the people as we discussed :)

I agree that the tier thing isn't needed. I kind of like the idea of putting the 100% completed games on there, if it's possible. Maybe you could even put how many achievements have been earned.

Ok, checked it out on one of the other templates and it works fine, it doesnt work with the default template so i was getting a white screen yesterday, everythings updating good, just a few more tweeks and it looks like itll be great

Ill add all the new people that requested it tonight when i get home..

Yeah, it should work on all templates now, but needs tweaking on the wider ones. Also Black and Gold needs a new since you have to highlight the text to make it visible.

1) This isnt the right place for submission, go to the Official Gamer Score Leaders forum and go to the Submission thread and post your info there

2) With a gamerscore that high, i need you to verify your identity before adding you, especially since you arent a regular member here -- you need to either a) send me a text/voice message on XBL from your gamertag or b) send me a friend request on XBL, just need you to verify you are who you are because youd be #1 on the forum, and dont want any sabotaging..
