co-op help?

Hey guys, im a long die hard fan of all dynasty warriors but i have just one question before i get this one, i know its online co-op but is there still a split-screen option because me and my girlfriend love playing these together? I've read the back of the box but it only says 1 player or co-op 2-4 online.

Any help greatly appreciated.

They took off split-screen on this one to emphasize the online co-op.
