I love sandbox games but...

I swear if one more of these type of games have "racing" games I'll never buy another one. I'm SICK of racing in these games where its really pointless. Saint's Row? Not fun. Crackdown? Not fun. Just Cause? Not fun? GTA? Not fun. Who else agrees that these "racing mini-games" are f'ing pointless? I know its cuz I suck at them, but there is no FUN value to them either!

Yes good point, well made. If they didn't have to worry about the racing so much they good focus more on detailed melee combat and better aiming and lock on shenanigans too :uzi:

Their just trying to make the game longer and have more stuff to do, but i deff agree with you. Driving (unless its the supercar) pretty much sucks as a whole in that game...

A couple wouldn't be to bad, but I think it sucks in most of the games as well. Drop the racing and focus on the game, add more villians and enlarge the map!
Watch the update for the last 100 points be a stupid race, if it is this game hits the trade in pile and MS can bite me on there next game. It's like putting races in Halo 3, Why the heck did I buy an FPS if it's full of races? I bought the game to shoot crackheads and A-holes

I agree. I hate racing games (look, none on my card (Cars doesn't count :p) and hate the racing games in sandbox games, even though I don't suck at them, I totally couldn't agree more! The game's car physics on the whole were not designed to race cars in! They get rattled around too much by the odd little clip!

yep, agreed, I thought this same thought the entire time I was completing the car races. But I loved the rooftop races. they should have just added more of those.

Oh, and the stupid stunt rings sucked too, I liked the insane jumps on GTA because I would hit those without even looking for em. If it weren't for a map I NEVER would have found all of the rings. The two in the alley? man, stupid.

Totally agree about the stunt rings as well. And they weren't in the most likely places and some of them were stupid to get! I reckon I spent two hours getting the last one over the river in the Shai Gen area! lol

I agree.. I'll probably never get the achievement for the races just cuz they're so boring.. I like driving around and hitting people though, lol.. but the races are dumb

the races are a pain but that is one of the things that makes it a sandbox game in the first place. though it does seem that the driving was just a after thought before the game was release

Agreed. Until the come up with a much better driving system, just keep racing out of these games.
