question about multiplayer

im playing outlaw and im playing vs nobody the other person isnt moving can i get it to play vs cpu or can i get a friend to play vs me online or is vs mode only offline on local xbox

First of all, the game is meant to be played with 2 people, so yes, single player is pointless because there's no CPU opponent. As for playing on Live, there are no challenges associated with this game because there's no scoring system (beyond how many times you hit the other guy) so I believe you are limited to playing on the same console.
