Wow, thats right, you read the title right! Thanks to DaKing and graf1k, they managed to get his hands on two copies of the Shadowrun BETA for the site to give away. Chance in a lifetime I hear, well two ;)

The competition is simple, the two people who promote the site in the most effective and original way will take home the prizes.

How you ask? Well thats up to you, whether it be a video on YouTube, a mention in somewhere, but so long as we have either photographic proof that it was you or a link to an article, then we're sorted. Remember, this isn't just another prize, this is the prize of prizes ;)

However, I did start putting notes in the cases for games I returned at Game with the URL of the site on. No idea if it worked and I have no proof other than my word, obviously not enough =(

I was thinking my Uncles friends local radio sho that he speaks on, just like a 10 second add site title, everthing for gaming needs... every point counts;) With some calming type music soft in the background and my deep voice sounding as proffesionl as possible.

If i could get one the mods to hear it or record somehow i think thatwould be good as its for originality and not the most attention gained. This would also help to the word of mouth award.

I just want to point out something...

We have 2 ShadowRun Betas to give away, and possibly a lot of good entries that will be coming. Although we can only have "2 winners" for this contest, I will be looking at every single entry, and will be eventually rewarding all those that I feel should have recieved something for the time and effort that was put into it. I am not promising anything, I can't do that since I don't have and get unlimited amounts of prizes to give away... but I always keep track, so don't feel put down if you made a kickass entry and were not rewarded... you never know what we can and will do here at x360a

That's pretty much how I do all my online gaming, I don't have a connection in my room so I have to lug my 360 across the house to play and I only have Saint's Row so I have no real need to play online anyways...

Ok. Here is my first Advertising Campaign for the competition, the other part of my Advertising spree will be posted sunday.

Ok first I wanted to reach out to the people at Xbox365 and the poor souls who challenge my clan on Gamebattles. So... I needed two prime images which would show the site with an extremely positive reaction, and I came up with these two images, one of which was made before this contest:

The second image is for Sigs around all my forums, which I have been using.

The first image is what I use to bring the people over, using bright, positive colours.

Ok, First off i'm very sorry but this is not going to be my last part of my entry.

Ok, So today my Chav Neighbour and some mates come round to help out with the advertising, we made a Video Advertising x360a, but with my mates touch of "comedy"....

Second of all, I've reached out to the people I know, but what about the people who really count, The Xbox Live Gamers. So, I changed my Gamertag to WWW X360A 0RG. Also I made another tag with a 3 month subscription, which the tag is www x360a org [ the 0 in my one is a zero ].

So, me and my mates, all day have been breaking out Halo 2, and GRAW 2 Splitscreen, advertising to all gamers that x360a is the site to go for any help for achievements, Or pretty much anything 360. So we all took control of the headset, giving the public all our selling points of the site, and people were going for it.

Okay, Unfortunatly my entry today is only Half of what i expected due to something not arriving. So my "final" post will be tomorrow. Even though i'll probably still be posting even after the contest has ended!

Okay, Yesterday I spent the last part of the day Creating a Custom faceplate, which was looking the absolute nuts until I stupidly handed it over to my Mate missus to decorate. Basically i filled in all holes, so it would be a completely flat front, Useless for some, but honestly it looked awesome. sanded it down, primed it and sprayed it.

Here is my last entry post you'll be seeing. Now as for my last piece of advertising, which is original, and effective.

Now I have a close friend who lives in stoke, and he works for Royal Mail. So I asked him to do me a favour. Send an e-mail advertising the site to every single employee, post office he had in his address book for royal mail.

Very little for what is supposed to be my Grand Finale, but this is what I was waiting for, being as he has sent it to loads of RM employees, I think that will bring in 10x more people than my other campaigns.

Being as this is my final entry, I would just like to take this space, and write a few closing words to the judges.

In this Competition, I’ve tried to accomplish the following.

In the briefing of the competition, you asked for Original & Effective ways of advertising this site.

Now originality & Effectiveness is what I tried to achieve on my entrys. That’s why I only posted once on one forum advertising x360a.org, As many people will be posting on countless forums advertising, which in my eyes doesn’t come under originality.

Effective advertising, now that is something which you have to consider with great thought. Many things need to be thought of, who for instance wants to earn achievements, what age range, What type of person. So I’ve been targeting the majority of my Campaigns to the 14-27 age range, and to the Gamers themselves with my Gamer Tag’s WWW X360A 0RG & www x360a org. Now with the wallpapers I posted, every friend of mine with a 360 has it as his dashboard background. Every computer I come near I plug my USB Key into it, and make one of the desktops one of my images. So the wallpapers, aren’t there just to look pretty, they are also out doing there bit to advertise x360a too. Well being as the competition is over, I can go and have some sleep :)


So I’ll do you all a favour and shut up, & Stop posting ;)

So after an impressive week, the Shadowrun BETA competition comes to a close. And wow, did we have some awesome entrances!! We were very impressed by what we saw and there was plenty of originality across the field, from newspaper adverts, site wallpapers, members using their own websites to get the word out and people even changed their tag to advertise the site! Now that's dedication. The problem is we only have two BETA's to give away, if I had my own way, everyone who entered would have got one. So a big thank you to everyone that entered.

On to the winners then, with more effort than I've ever seen for a competition like this before is Flash who really proved to us that he was willing to devote hours to get this BETA, from a homemade ad on YouTube, changing his GT to more desktop wallpapers that you can lay your eyes on. And the second BETA goes to Gunstar Chaos, who's impressive windscreen transfer was not only original, but really impressive.

So congrats to those two and remember to all those that missed out, there are always competitions going on over at x360a ;)
