Who is the best to farm for items

i have completed wei quests and im currently working on wu, i have 2 main 50s xiahou dun and gan ning, i dont want to change their items and chi to farming items so i want to use a new character

also what items, orbs and chi are best for farming

There's no one character to use for farming, its all based on items. You want the Serendipity Chi, along with any luck boosting Orbs you can attach.
