Achievement Glitch?

I'm in chapter 1 doing tri attacks, smackdowns and bonus attacks but i'm not getting any of the "First time" achievements for any of those. Is this a glitch or do I have to do 10 tri attacks to get it or what? The achievement states "Do a tri attack for the first time" so wtf.

Are you in the Arena, using the Tutorials? You don't earn achievements from those, you have to perform the actions in real battles.

Edit: Oh, and there is no "first time" achievement for a Smackdown, just Bonus Hit and Tri-Attack.

Nah i'm fighting the Hughs Power Station mechs over and over. I do smackdowns and tri attacks on them consistantly but no achievements.

and I also get smackdowns like crazy on the random gunmen, sometimes 2 in a row.


Edit: Finally got Tri Attacker and Bonus hitter. But they differently glitched up for me. I had to start my game over.

It is not a glitch, you have to attack with all three characters to get Tri Attacker. Achievement is not to start tri attack, its to attack with all three chars during tri attacker.

This, I'd start a tri-attack up, but kill someone and not have the other 2 attack and didn't get it.

I'm well aware of the gameplay mechanics and what constitutes a tri-attack, smackdown or bonus. It just glitched up on my first save for some reason. None of the battle related achievements unlocked.

Same thing happened to me so you're not the only one. To everybody else, glitches can happen to achievements, as some of us are aware so please stop having a go at this person, it's happened to them and it's happened to me aswell!!

My game doesn't show up in my achievement list, and I haven't had a single achievement as yet. doesn't show up on my recently played list either.

Any recomendations?

you can check your progress on how many smackdowns and bonus hits you've done in the arena on the right hand side by the leaderboard.

Well thats a new one, it could just be a bad disk but I'd try removing your save data (assuming you haven't played very far yet) and start a completely new game. Might have just been a disk load error.
