Oscar winner reportedly joins Bruce Willis in game-to-film.


Kane & Lynch (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/884/884973.html) screenwriter Kyle Ward reportedly Tweeted (http://twitter.com/kyle_ward) yesterday that Oscar winner Jamie Foxx (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/912/912236.html) has been cast opposite Bruce Willis (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/912/912513.html) in the feature film version of the videogame.

The news was soon picked up by Deadline New York (http://www.deadline.com/2010/03/foxx-joins-willis-in-kane-lynch/#more-28874), although it appears that Ward has since deleted the Foxx posting (http://twitter.com/kyle_ward/status/10651363443). Deadline says Foxx will play the unhinged James Lynch (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/142/14258090.html) opposite Willis as his partner Kane, with filming said to begin this August.

Simon Crane will direct for Millennium Films and Lionsgate.

What?!? I was really hoping they'd stay true to the character. In other words white with long hair and a beard. I could see Paul Giamatti pulling off the look or maybe even Steve Buscemi.

I think he would be perfect for a sociopathic role such as Lynch. I remember playing through the game and thinking of Steve Buscemi in Living in Oblivion (appearance-wise).
