hardcore on this game WAS easy, apart from a few points throughout the later stages of the game, it was more like getting 60 points for playing the equivalent of the medium setting on any other shooter really.

Honestly, this game is not hard at all. I beat it on hardcore my first run....and never once upgraded any of my weapons (so as not to glitch the greasemonkey achievement). If you can beat the game on hardcore with only a moderate effort with the base level guns...it simply can't be considered 'hard'.

I don't know man...I think the controls are so f*cked up and wonky that I die from stupid sh*t all the time. I am about two-thirds of the way through it and I have died a lot.

i think yall should cut the man some slack. not everyone plays the game the same and sees it the same therefore its possible that some people can see this as hard. granted hardcore is not really hardcore in this game at least to me.

i didn't find the game hard myself. BUT it took me 2 hours to beat that stupid flying level with the 3 scorpion things. id be killed in less than 30 seconds and everytime i killed one of the three the next one would kill me. sometimes id get killed while hovering for cover (the shot would GO THROUGH THE LEVEL)

the game suffers from technical errors more than hardness. ive found myself shooting at one guy for more than 30 seconds and then I'd die. but it only happened once per level

There were definitely hard parts in hardcore, but I wouldn't consider it hard. The part with three archons was the only seriously hard part, and the only other hard parts are due to poorly spaced checkpoints.

I found defending the ark to be the most pointless mission and pretty hard on hardcore due to checkpoints being lightyears apart.

Hardcore really isn't that hard. If you can get through it without upgrading any of the weapons or backpack (I didn't want Grease Monkey to glitch) it can't be too bad. Most deaths came from trying to grind out some of the achievements at the same time.

Any mission where you could sit in the AA gun was a piece of cake

I'm going to agree with the TS.

I felt like this game went out it's way at times to make you die just before you hit a checkpoint. For example on the final boss I destroyed one eye and got to the point where he was supposed to charge before I got the QTE to destroy eye number 2, instead he didnt charge and when I went to the QTE he kills me even though I mashed X.

Horrible game.
