Ok, for those who may or may not share my joy.
I just finished "The Ring" or otherwise knows As Nuerburgring Norschleife, on Platinum 12 seconds under Par time with the Ferrari 355 F1 GTS. Par Time was 7:18.00 amd I finished in 7:06.00. 3,785 Kudos put me at 956 in League 1.
Wow, That feels good. Topped all off by my Style Racer Achievement!
Good Day for Racing.:)

I pretty much have to course down pat with the 355. It was a perfect run. I'll show you online sometime.;)
I was pretty much in the zone, I was looking at it and said to myself, "Ah hell, lets get it over with"
Good stuff...
Dave, What part of England are you from? I will be in Manchester next month for about a week.
April 22nd is a friend of mines birthday and he wanted me to be there.

So, I don't own this game...yet, but was just curious, do you have to complete the platinums without going off the track, i.e. if you do, does it fail you?
Cause I remember playing Gran Turismo 4 and on one of the licenses or whatever and you had to do a fast and perfect lap of the Nuerburgring, and that was impossible!!!! For me anyway :p

No. The platinum has a goal to be obtained just as the gold, silver, etc... You must obtain this goal in order to pass. There are no penalties in PGR3 for going off the track other than it slows you down, and in a street race in PGR3 on platinum, that could be trouble.

Yeah, like stated above, going off the track is a bad idea in terms of time. My time on The Ring was perfection, no errors whatsoever.

Yep! And watch out for that grass too! Slows your car down big time :)
