If you plan on buying it, then wait until the week of March 22nd. The price will be cut in half for each DLC, and it'll be priced at 400 msp instead of 800 msp.

It's pretty enjoyable, and you get some kick ass weapons. Plus it can be done fairly early (I beat it at level 9)

It is pretty fun and cheevos are also easy, just thoses captive logs that are a pain in the arse! ;) overall though it is the worst DLC of the 5 and don't buy this one if your only buying 1.

If you're only buying 1 then I'd say go for a different one.
If you're a big Fallout fan & are getting them all then yeah go for this :)

Mothership Zeta was a great addition to Fallout 3. It's not the worst DLC in my opinion, but it isn't the best. If you're a fan of the game, it'll be worth it. Especially now, since they are all on sale starting today! If you can afford it, definitely buy the others, as each have their own plus'.
Broken Steel raises the level cap to 30, and extends the main storyline a bit more.
The Pitt adds an awesome new area, great new weapons, and overall is an amazing side mission.
Point Lookout is probably the best for it's price. It adds a huge new area to the game, new weapons, etc. If you don't have any, pick this one up for sure.
Anchorage is really the only one I wouldn't recommend, but being that this is an achievement website, I am obliged to say buy it, if just for it's achievements. =P
All in all, if you have the points, buy them all tomorrow!

I liked Mothership Zeta, it wasn't the best of the DLC (probably the worst) but it is still fun to play.

Is the downloadable content 400MSP forever or only for the week?

I didn't like MZ at all. I found it boring and tedious. If I had to say 1 good thing about it, it would be you get to take a samurai sword back to the wasteland.

The content is only 400MSP for this week. It is one of microsoft's deals of the week. I'm gonna be finishing off my collection tonight with both point lookout and mothership zeta, I can't wait :)

I thought this DLC was pretty good. A big plus is that when you come down from the space ship at the end, you land right next to the Alien Blaster + the area isn't irradiated anymore.

I'd say it's worth a purchase, even though it's pretty short. The level design is lacking (same old grey corridors), but I thought the price of admission was enough simply for the chance to reduce some aliens to piles of ash. I was pretty happy to see Bethesda take one of the weirdest and mysterious aspects of the regular game (the crashed UFO) and build an entire DLC experience around it.

the worst of them all. there is a bug in it that makes you stuck with no way out if you only have the 1 autosave. if you do get it and want to know about t give me a PM, wont post it up as it could be a spoiler...

I believe myself and everyone else would like the DLC a whole lot more if you could keep exploring the ship after it was over, in case you missed any uniques or audio logs. Its worth 400 to me, not 800.

I recently purchased the GOTY edition because, I rented this game about a year ago and with 2 of 75 achievements, I felt it was kinda hurtin my stats so I wanted to finish it. I did so with just over 105 hours, I don't think I even want to put new vegas in my 360 because it will start at 1000 points but in a year I'm sure it will be up to 1750 and I don't even want that headache.
As far as MZ if you like fallout then definitely get it, it's a little out there as far as the story goes. But, it is part of the game so in my opinion it should be played. you should borrow the GOTY disc from someone or buy it (install it) then return it, claiming it won't install and you don't want another copy cause you've played so much and your just done.
When I got the GOTY the silly lady @ gamestop though GOTY was like "Greatest hits" so when it came up @ 54.99 she was like "No, that's not the right price?" and rang it up as a regular copy for 17.99 and I saved about 45 bux!

This along with Operation: Anchorage were my least favorite DLCs. Both are very combat heavy and linear. If all you care about is achievements then go ahead and get it but I didn't find this DLC particularly fun.

only thing that is not worth it is the insane amount of ammo that you have to waste to kill the sheilded aliens
i used to have >1000 shotgun shells
after this DLC i have <200

Its decent...i wasn't to crazy about the whole "being captured by aliens" twist but it was interesting to see how it played out so yeah I would say it's worth it.
a small tip if you do buy it go up there with only your best weapon and armor, if you like collecting rare items and donŽt go up there with
minemum supplyes youŽll get overencumbered pretty fast with rare guns

If you played the original Fallout and Fallout 2, you will know that aliens are part of the Fallout universe, and you will appreciate this more. Some people thought this was just a random story thrown in by Bethesda, but actually they expanded upon one of the more mysterious and interesting aspects of the original games with it. That being said, it's a disappointment you can't keep exploring the ship after you beat the quest, and it is very combat heavy compared to the others.

I doubt it; those games are way different than Fallout 3 (obviously). They wouldn't translate well to consoles either; they're really PC games only. You can get them on Steam now for cheap.

Worth buying? Not really. The only thing worth getting out of that are the weapons and gaining temporary access to an NPC with the repair skill of 100. if you reverse pick-pocket a cryogrenade you can get your caps back so that you can repair more stuff that you can sell and you'll be set in caps for the rest of the game, but that's it.
The alien blasters are very annoying for stealth/sniper build characters

could be its just like square enix rumors of the ff7 remix release but that would be great to play the originals on the 360 especialy if they are remastered

That's why I picked up the Alien Disintigrator rifle and stuck with it, didn't even use my human weapons at all after that.
OT: It was a very interesting DLC, but it's fun-level wasn't up there, more of a "I wanna be an astronaut!!!!" geek out and the weapons you pick up will definitely be useful in the main game if you carted some spares back for repairs. 7/10
I loved how much detail they poured into the alien ship, initially I was thinking it was so tiny but as I kept going there was just more and more areas to explore. Though as you venture along there isn't a whole lot new to discover within those areas. There were several instances of great writing too, I had a few good chuckles while playing through it. I loved how they included the robot horses from the loading screen slideshow, and somehow... weaponized them!! I laughed so hard there. :woop: when hunting for the recordings you will find this room, literally full of an armada of mechanical horses. Now in one of them, you'll find a horse in the middle, surrounded by dead "test subjects". The apparent victims of this new and destructively cute weapon.
All in all though it was kind of mediocre now that I'm done the add-on.
The combat and progressing through the ship was repetitive after a while. Shoot aliens, push buttons. Shoot more aliens, push more buttons.
I liked it, but it didn't have me thinking there was much awesomeness afoot other than being in space.
