Killing That Crawmerax

Hey all, just a quick question:

Is there any way to kill Crawmerax without using the glitch in split screen?

Me and my girlfriend are both level 61, shes a siren, im a hunter, we are on playthrough 2 cause we love a challenge. It wouldnt be so bad if he didnt regen if you both died :(

Any tips besides use the glitch?

It is very possible to beat him fair and square.

I've been farming him solo for a while now.

But yeah what's giving you trouble? That way I can help you.

I would make a video on how to but I'm lacking the equipment atm I'm afraid

Do a search on youtube for crawmerax solo and I'm sure you'll find many videos that can help you.

when my friends and i dident safe spot him we all used sirens with catalist class mods and kept phase walking up to him fireing a few shots with a smg or ar then phasewaked away. and just kept repeating till he died.

He just seems to destroy us. Him and his little worm buddys take our shields down and half our health down in one hit, and no matter how much we strafe they always manage to do damage.

Whats really annoying is he regens if you both die >.>

What sort of hp/shields do you guys have to go up against him? When you come out of the elevator, do you run anywhere special? Aim at his body in any particular order?

I looked on youtube, but all i could find was 4 minute videos of people cutting out 3/4 of the battle because they say it takes so long :(

When you first get up to the area where you fight Crawmerax look a little to the right and you should see a big rock in the shape of an "O." Head over to that rock, because that is the rock that will provide you with cover against Crawmerax, just keep running around the rock staying a little distace away from it as to avoid him attacking you through it, for his minions there are easy to kill with the right equipment, the "Craw Maggots" are weak to shock and an Orion will kill them fast, the "Green Craw Worms" are weak to fire and a Hellfire will kill them fast, and the "Armored Craw Worms" are weak to corrosive and a Maliwan Crux kills them fast, if you don't have any of the above stated guns that is still fine, just find a good maliwan with that element (any manufaturer will do but maliwan is the best) and for Crawmerax if you have an Orion bounce the shots off the ground into his weakpoints, if not just keep shooting them with anyother weapon. This meathod works for me when I solo with my soldier, so it should work even better with two people ;)

Edit: In reply to your last post Crawmerax will always kill you in two hits no matter what so it does not matter what your shield is.

Still trying to wrap my head around how you soloing it for him actually works, especially since he's playing it with his girfriend; I get what you mean, though.

Oh, and just for the record, I tried Krogglidor's (had to do it with your colors, lol) method not too long ago, and can verify that it works.

I just mean they can just chill out up there/ stay alive while I take out Crawmerax. I get your confusion though ;).

Yes it took me hours of experimentation before I could manage to solo it with my soldier so of course it works, it is MY method ;)

They are playing split screen so they can not play online and he said that they wanted a "challange" probably means they want to kill it and not sit around when someone else does ;)

My boyfriend and I have beaten Crawmerax it seems like a thousand times splitscreen. He is a level 61 Siren and I have 2 level 61 characters, a Berserker and a Hunter. He focuses entirely on Crawmerax, either sniping his weak spots or shooting them with the Hellfire and I run around and kill the minions, fire for the green ones, shock for the maggots, and corrosive for the purple. It takes about 15-20 minutes and then we leave and go back and do it again and I have to say that so far it has not been worth it. We have yet to find anything good from anything Crawmerax drops.....

Please can someone give me a hand with this. All i can offer in return is help with Spec Ops on MW2 and/or good rep but he is too hard for me on my own.
