the dev's of the game from what i herd will be searching all the major forums and youtube and make the other 100 pts based on what they read and watch on youtube. as to a date as when they'll be release....i high doubt any time soon as the game just came out...not even a month ago. you gotta give them time do search all the major forum sites and espically youtube seeing as alot of videos are on there (dont know if any videos of people requesting crakdown achievements though lol) so yeah, just give them time and eventually they'll come out

i think landing on people from a very high jump should be an achievement. Has anyone accidentally landed on a pedestrian or gang member after a high fall? It makes a funny squish noise and if its an innocent they don't even penalize you for it. ah the subtleties...

Well stacking cars wouldn't be THAT bad.... but then again if its something retarded like stack cars as high as 50 feet then yeah i would punch something... probably an infant, just to show the seriousness of my response.

There was talk about stack 100 cars or something like that and the problem with stacking cars is that they disappear. So I don't see how we'd go about getting an achievement for stacking cars.

there has to be another 100 points because the new MS policy states that every game the comes out has to have 1k GS either when it first comes out or later on with FREE DLC so the other 100 pts will be comming out, plus i can tell you havnt been searching the crackdown seciton long enough or the site as its all over the site lol

Is that from now on or what because of lord of the rings and godfather.

I think the achievement should be a play time achievement for like 50 and a spend this much time jumping. Just ones that involve playing the game a lot.:)

I hope they bump it up to 1250 like Oblivion because while some of the achievements for this game took time, it was still pretty fun and doable. Just for the love of god no more collecting orbs!

O and on to the topic of the thread, I thought it would be hilarious to have kill 50 gang members with a gang members corpse. Thats hilarious.

It was planned that it would ship with only 900 points so that the remaining points would come with downloadable content.

They haven't said anything about any more content, only that there will be more achievements. Most people seem to take that as that there will be more missions, anyother island etc but that is pure speculation..

i don't know about new achievements but they should have an extensive list of stats and such. i know they have the online races and time trials (thats all that shows up on my crackdown). GTA has a rediculous amount of stats and judging by the achievements and subachievements the game has them stored somewhere. like hangtime in a vehicle, time spent in the air after jumping. longest jump on foot, pedestrians killed etc.

i havent seen a place where you can see any of these stats but i do hope they are saved some where(though i dont know why they would save the stats then not even show them to ya) cause they dont even have a way to start a new game without erasing your old one.

I reckon they will input a new gang led by that narrator bloke, as it is suggested in the final fmv. U get 100 gamerscore for cleansing it or something. Some new weapons would be good too. :)

I just hope they don't do one of those "Played Crackdown for 20 hours" achievements...It's too short of a game, unless you are an Orb Hunter.

Wonder if there will be a side achievement with Crackdown for taken part in the Halo 3 Beta?

I thought they were adding a new gang and island? Hopefully that's true. Also instead of the play crackdown for a certain amount of time, maybe they should add an achievement for beating it in a certain time. 2 hours?

Theyre probably going to have a new island with bosses and two of the achievements will be find all the bosses and then beat all of the bosses.
And then have another one that has something to do with shooting guns, such as add a shooting range.
And probably with the new planes they will probably add a new skill, flying.

Maybe they'll have some bizarre achievements like lapping the whole island without touching the floor, as long as they include some checkpoints high up to prevent people from simply driving around with their friend on the car roof :D

I too am at 499/500 and have spent HOURS hunting with a buddy :-(

What really sucks is that the last one might be one the one of us has an not the other. So we might be walking right by the one he/I needs and not even knowing it!! :uzi:

I think the acheivements should make us use the environment in more creative ways.

Like an achievement for having an explosion with a 300ft blast radius or drive a certain type of vehicle in strange, hard-to-get-vehicle-to places. Or use a previous bosses body to kill x amount of other bosses. I know I had fun killing people with the fat woman boss's body out of the cave in the Volk.

Back to what you all were saying about stacking cars.....thats easy. Theres a "Glitch" in the game where these two cars will keep respawning over and over again straight away. In Shia-Gen Underneth that big building called Central Point or somehting like...theres a car park under it.....its just around the corner for supply point number 5.....u grab one of the cars....move it forward a tad...then it respawns straight away...SIMPLE FUN!! you can make a pile really fast with this glitch. the cars that rerspawn are in front of the car park...its only the 2 cars

They should add some type of new ability, and then make orbs for that! I think searching for the orbs was one of the more addicting things in the game.

Thats instant death. Why would they give you an achievement for instant death? Makes no sense. With the picture of the dunebuggies we have all seen it is more than likely going to be some sort of races along with another gang to take out...

I doubt they will because they will be new things that cant be done at the moment, but they have given achievements for bad things before like disconnecting 10 times in nhl and losing in dead or alive 4 and i am currenty working on splatting 20 times in spider man 3 so..
