Sumo Ghost/Staff Ghost?

What the hells the sumo ghost Im racing on the 2nd time trial stage "billy hatchers" and Im getting this sumo ghost handing my ass to me:/ wheres the staff ghost I raced and owned it on the 1st time trial?
Also for some strange reason its not recognising Ive created a new personal best in the achievement list still says 1 from my 1st time trial any feedback will be appreciated.

Its probably the Ghost from the person who is #1 for that track. I always have a staff ghost and a rival ghost following me around, so I believe its the top player on that leaderboard.

I dunno about the second part of your question, but once you beat the Staff Ghost the faster Sumo Ghost appears as a challenge. The Staff Ghosts are for the achievement Ghost Master and the Sumo Ghost is just a personal challenge. Once the Sumo Ghost is there I'm pretty sure you can't get the Staff Ghost back.

this may sound obvious but are you playing the time trials when signed in to xbox live.... maybe the staff ghosts only work when signed in


p.s i have beaten all 26 staff ghosts but no achievement.... can anyone help?

On the time trial screens change the filter to local and choose one of your own times to race against - should bring the staff/sumo ghost back.

Rival ghost is an online ghost.

I was looking for staff ghosts too after the ach did not pop up altough the ingame-ach was complete (24/24). And something is definitely glichy here due to the following curiosity: I had the times of a friend who already got the ach and finally the ghost was on a track where I already had a much better time, as a matter of fact compared to the world leaderboard it was my best time. However, rival ghosts or no ghost appeared in the beginning but after a couple of tries and 3 laps of driving the staff ghost appeared and he was as hard as a sumo or even harder. Then it popped. So look for tracks where NO ghosts or maybe rival ghosts appear. Sumo-tracks should be done. You can not tell for sure by your time compared to others. Took me about 3 h and seriously ****** me off.
