Can I use unlocks from Wu/Other on later plays?

I'm on Chapter 5 of Wu, I'm wondering if when I play my next plays (Of Shu/Wei) if I can play as Lu Bu once he's unlocked?

or do I have to go to chapter 6 in every campaign to unlock him in each one? If so.. boo :/

Once you unlock him, you can use him in any of the campaigns. To change to Shu/Wei, you just go to the shrine during chapter 6 and select "Change Force".

All materials, building levels, officers, cards, orbs, etc. stay with you. A level 50 character makes the next two playthroughs a bit faster ;)

They can be insanely frustrating. I can't even count how many times Lu Bu has killed me literally a second before I killed one of the death beasts.

The setup I use is something like this:
Mechastrike+
Aero+
Last Stand+
Immortal

Brutal++ and Fury++ orbs.
Staff type weapon.

I use Guan Yu and Guan Ping cards to take off a huge chunk of health straight away. Then I use a Hero Tome+, Storm Glove, and Zen Elixer++. Get your officers to attack the enemy officers, then enter fury, charge straight at the beasts weakpoint (the tail for the phoenix), and spam x. If Lu Bu comes to attack you, start dodging away like mad.

It would be a lot easier with Seal Resist (instead of Control++), but you need to finish those quests to get to the level where you can get the materials (although you do get 1 Earth Gift for upgrading the exchange to max).

It's also possible to win through sheer stubbornness... just carry as many healing-items into battle as you can possibly lug around, make sure you've got a long-range weapon (bow, tech, whatever), take out Diao Chan before she can Disband you to death, and then just start chipping those critters to death while your comrades keep Lu Bu busy. Naturally, if Lu Bu decides to pay attention to you anyway, you better watch your health-bar, so you can dodge away FAST when you get low, wait for the Seal to wear off, and then heal up...
