Trying to understand the game

Okay, I've never played Blood Bowl before now, and I do have a friend that used to play the real version. He always was ranting on and on about how awesome it was, but since i didn't play warhammer, i didn't know why he found it to be so great.

Now, I'm trying to play this game, and I started a team as the Stunties ((My buddy and I's nickname for the Dwarves)) and my first game was against Chaos....well, everything seemed to be goin good, but then i got demolished because I couldn't attack like, anyone on the other team. Can someone tell me why??

Can you post a little more info as Im not sure what your referring to - you are aware you can only blitz once per turn?
