Ok so I just got this game today, and I cant kill the convicts.. like WTF...help!?

if you just started, your not strong enough, just level up. also, you'll need to find the good weapons.

for my first playthrough, i just followed the case files and ignored the convicts.

Check out some of the other threads, there are methods scattered all over the forums.

Basically, grab plenty of firepower and jump onto the covered area outside. If you stay on the roof then the convict's jeep gets stuck and you can pick them off one by one.

well I am lvl 3... and if I go outside to try and help brad I get wasted... but on the same note I get wasted by the dude brad is trying to kill

your not gonna kill them at level 3..

yeah just avoid them. Try to go up in levels by taking good pictures and killing loads of zombies..

Yeah I'd say just avoid them.. they reappear anyways later that night so it's kinda pointless..

But what I've found out that helps alot is just grabbing the katana or the mini chainsaw later in the game and just taking out the guy on the gun then the other two.. but only do that when you're at a higher level and got some juice or other food that'll give you a good amount of health back.. you'll take em out in about 3 or 4 swings though

Or you can also kill the 3 snipers later in the game, get their rifles and just shoot the convicts from a distance. Then you don't have to level up that much, because the snipers are easy (use the hockey stick) and the convicts are no big deal if you shoot the guy with the gun from the other side of the park.

you really dont have to kill them you can go around but if you do make sure you got 2 submachines guns. that what i did at your level
