How would any of you recommend doing this for Frequent Flyer? Flying in a circle or going from one side of the map to another? Each seem to have their own faults like eventually enemies and events happening with the side-to-side, the health of Metropolis, etc., while with circling I can't seem to get it to where Superman doesn't eventually hit the ocean or the invisible ceiling.
Any advice?
Fly around until you get 4 Metropolis events popped up.
Fly as far away from them all as possible.
Fly up high enough to be clear of the floor but still clear of the very top of the map.
Use a belt to hold the right stick up and slightly to one side, it will also hold down the right bumper and right trigger.
You should now be flying at max speed in circles (and attacking).
Leave the controller for a few hours and you have it. If it doesn't work then you are doing something wrong, that was my easy peasy method.

Aw dammit all ... I ended up taping the RB and left stick down then went to bed. Damn tape seems to have come off immediately after I did.
I'll see if I can't find a belt around here somewhere ...

The rubber band method worked well for me. I actually used one of the female's hair band but it's the same thing. You do have to keep tapping the right stick down a bit so that he doesn't try to fly up, but once you've got him doing that, it'll stay that way. Have him fly right above the water and you'll not have to worry about him stopping for any reason.

I used my headset. Tie a knot around the right joystick and pull up and to the right. Wrap the cord up around the rb button and around the controller until you run out of cord. Worked great for me!!

Use my method, see my guide (http://www.rallport.tsohost.co.uk/blog/2006/12/29/superman-returns-%e2%84%a2-guide/)

Here's the method that I used: http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4556/p1010088mt5.jpg
The fatter rubber band is a lot smaller, which means it's stretched tight enough to hold the RB down to keep you flying. The smaller one is pulled to the back of the controller, then around it, which keeps the right stick held towards the right. I flew over to the ocean and then slept while Superman flew around in circles and when I woke up, I had both this achievement and the 12 hour one.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions :p

i used the rubber band method and made superman fly in a circle while in the water. I kept the right bumber pushed in by wedging the controler between a chair and the bulky original XBOX.

Yeah, the picture is nice, but in my experience when I did that it shut off because you also need to have an attack button pushed down. You need to have more than the analog stick and right bumper down, and the easiest button to add is the right trigger button with some laser vision or what have you. Also, if you are worried about events you could just put on the infinite city health cheat and just let them wreak havoc.

i used 3 rubber bands.
2 of them in different spots ensuring that the right bumper is pressed down, and the third kept the right stick moving to the right
* note: the city will not be attacked if superman is in superspeed mode *\\
EDIT: go into the pause menu and disable the vibration, use a wired controller, and if you cant wrap a rubber band around the controller to hold the RB, then set it against a book or something.

that's the way i do all my "rubberband" boosting, simply use the cord to your headset :)

I feel unimaginative. I used a rubber band on the bumper button and a tennis shoe resting on the thumb stick (rumble was turned off). Went to work and when I came home I had an achievement unlocked.

Does your wireless controller not turn off if you are pressing the RB for superspeed?
I had the setup yesterday where I rubberbanded the two sticks so Supes was going in a circle high above metropolis, and my controller kept shutting off after a while.
Is there somewhere in the console settings where I can change this?
Any help would be much appreciated.

That's the battery-saving feature in the wireless controller. It shuts off automatically if you aren't actively using it for a certain amount of time (20 minutes I think). In order to get around this you can do two things. First, use a wired controller. Second, plug your wireless controller into you console with a Play and Charge kit. Because the kit is charging the controller there's no need for it save the battery and the controller will stay on indefinitely. I used the latter option myself.

The downfall to all of these ideas for me: I own 4 wireless controllers, 0 wired ones. Knowing my luck the batteries will run out the second I go to bed with tapes/bands/belts on it :(

i always found when i need to go in circles(dead rising, blue dragon ect) the trusty door stop works for me but its an odd one.

I've also noticed if you guys are having problems with going to high or low or what have you simply start in the industrial district (or near there) where the buildings are all relatively low. Get Superman on the ground standing and do a power jump (Hold down Y). This way he looks directly into the horizon, not up or down a little. Then just strap down the RB button and the left analog to the left or right as the left analog only allows you to move left or right.

I don't remember exactly how the saving works in this game, but make sure you do so.
I would have had the achievement the first of 4 nights I did this.
I never quite finished it, but was always very close.
I'd have to turn off my XBox at that point because it was on for so long, and forgot to save 3 of 4 times.
