Why is it that the time limit for this race is 14:00+ minutes, but by the time you get to the tower, it starts to time you out? Its like I go through the city and do the roofs on foot, then hop in a car and drive thru the points to get to the agency, and begin ascending the tower and the fucking race times me out...I'll miss a jump or something and it just pisses me off. Like yesterday I did one of the two races at the tower and it was a 5:00 minute limit and i did it in 3:43, but not once did the thing time out...i stood in front of the point (its the race where you only have one checkpoint) for about 30 seconds to see if it would give me a timeout sequence, but nothing...

Anyone else had this happen? Any solutions?

You have 1 minute to get between checkpoints, that is why you get timed out. Just don't miss any or get stuck in an annoying corner, it is all about timing.

The fact that there is a time out in these races is the reason I refuse to try and beat them. I like achievements, but not ones that make me wanna tear my hair out.

I got ya, its just such a pain...hopefully if they have more of these in the updates, they take out the stupid time out timer...IMHO, they should have put it as a menu option...say your getting uber pissed during a race, or you just don't want to finish it, just pause it and hit "quit race" or "restart race" timing out while actively going for it is dumb....especially on the tower:AR15

The restart race thing is a brilliant idea, but if they had it in, you would have to spend ages on a loading screen (like restarting time trials).

But the timer is a good indicator as to how well you are doing. If it is taking you a whole minute to get to checkpoints you are taking the wrong route, or you are dilly-dallying. Try looking at different paths, just remember where the checkpoints are and have a look around.

Just keep at it. Its a pain with the timeout, and took me a few goes. Its not making a mistake on the agency tower.

that was an easy race...just dont get in a car...i ran the entire thing and beat it easily on my first try...

Try looking at different paths, just remember where the checkpoints are and have a look around. i agree with Zef...its not really that hard...and im glad it was included...in my opinion it makes it easier...except when u lose the race...such as when the race is 5:55 longand i get 6:00....that makes me mad:mad:

No, not dilly dallying or taking the wrong route...its my last one to do actually, and I slip off the tower, or miss one of the lil pipes to climb up to the top...I'll get this thing if its the last thing i do!!!!!!!! ahaha

I am with you on this one my friend. It is my last foot race. Then I get to start on the road races. Such fun.

Yeah, this achievement drove me batshit. They should time you out when the timer expires. And you should be able to cancel the race from the pause menu so they can get rid of your starting column, which ocassionally confuses the piss out of me.

Just another day walking in the park.

And most of the races on foot were easy, the same goes for the car races.

I am with you on this one my friend. It is my last foot race. Then I get to start on the road races. Such fun.

I finally finished it the other day...I don't know If i'm gonna do the car races...some of them are a massive pain in the ass...i dunno...i may be done until the halo 3 beta comes out...

I tried this race twice in a row and didn't feel like doing it again so I went orb hunting. The next day I loaded it up an got it on the first try. The same thing with the Den Alley race. I must have been lucky that day. I probably should have wen to the casino.
