Romance Question

Hey, i did try and search to see if this had been asked rather than making a new thread but didn't find an answer so here goes:
I have already seen 3 of the ''Romance'' videos (Thanks youtube) and was wondering, i remember hearing one of the devs saying that you could continue you're relationship/romance with one of the ME1 characters - Either Ashley or Kaiden but so far haven't been able to find any confirmation of whether or not you can actually continue the romance in ME2? Does anyone know if there is another ''Romance'' scene for which ever character you're trying to continue with?

No idea yet, not that far into the game (curse work for taking up so much potential game time!!) but flirting with Kelly your admin assistant/psychologist on the Normandy with a female Shepard is a fun goofy conversation that doesn't really go anywhere (yet ????).

It's not that you physically continue their relationship, but you have the choice if you had a ME1 romance based on whether or not you want to stay faithful. You can break off pursued romances with characters by mentioning your ME1 romance.

Also, if anyone was wondering what your romance options are in Mass Effect 2, here it is.

Male Shepard: Ashley or Liara (carried from the first game), Miranda, Jack/Subject Zero, Tali, and Kelly.

Female Shepard: Kaiden (carried from the first game), Jacob, Thane, Garrus, and Kelly.

Yes, Kelly swings both ways. You can still attempt to pursue multiple romances but will have to break people off and choose a single person I'm sure. Good luck. It's not about love triangles anymore, it's love...SQUARES. Or trapezoids, or something with five sides.

At one point pretty early in the game the medical bay doctor was talking about some drink she wished she had, I got it for her and drank it with her....

The conversation got a little creepy, she was old enough to be shephards grandma. She was hitting on me, I'm glad to hear she isn't in the romance listing it scared me.

Hmmm....i never used her so i never noticed that. Does anyone know if you can do multiple relationships in one playthrough? Like in Dragon Age?

You can still attempt to pursue multiple romances but will have to break people off and choose a single person I'm sure.

Like D.A.N mentioned, you will probably only be able to have one intimate relationship like in ME1. You can still talk with the other females/males on the list and build a good relationship with them, just not an intimate "lover" kind of relationship, I would assume.

Kelly has an entirely unique (and much less meaningful) scene if you romance her. In fact, let's just call Kelly a "fling" option, everyone else can be romanced.

Assuming Ashley survived your ME1 playthrough, you see her as well as Liara as part of the story.

Whenever anyone in your squad wants to talk, Kelly will tell you. You can also manually check by asking her about the crew. It will also appear in the Journal when they want to speak. As you progress the main story and loyalty quests your options to romance will come. You can't just do side quests or anything and continue them.

There could be a chance that messing with one of your squad member's feelings could affect the suicide mission. Even further, it will definitely cause chaos later, if not then in Mass Effect 3.

It's especially ironic considering you could go gay in Dragon Age: Origins. They probably didn't want to attract controversy since having a straight sex scene in the original Mass Effect got lots of ridiculous media.

As I have been reading it seems that staing faithful won't give me the Paramour achievement, so is there a chance that I begin a relationship with Kelly, for example, and find a special time when I can save, have sex with her, reload, reject her and stay faithful?

I mean, can I refuse her just before the sex and, if I can, would Liara trust me yet?

What a crock of shit. I was under the impression that anyone was fair game. Miranda been giving me the eye all game, and now I see I wasted my time trying to get her? I am playing a female Shepard BTW, the only one is Kelly... really, Kelly? Who the hell is that? She stands on the ship and tells me I have a message. There is no way Shepard would go for a little admin chick.

I really don't like playing as male characters in games, but if I want to get the achievement I either have to start over (cause I am done with my 1st playthrough) or get it on with Garrus or Thane? Jacob doesn't like my character, besides, a dude playing a female character that does it with another chick is awesome... with a dude... thats like living out some gay fantasy.

Liara actually went both ways and you can continue the realationship in 2 dont know about the sex yet though but we still get that kiss when we see her again:woop:. And its about time we get to nail Tali. She deffinately had the nicest ass in the first game!
