Level 3 boss help!

Ok, so I shoot the eyeballs and then he eats the plane. I have managed to shoot him in the mouth once and he backed off. I cannot cast lightning or at least it starts but never finishes. I heard the upgrade for the gun to add elements works, but I didn't upgrade that part. Is it a lot easier than it appears? This has quickly became my least favorite part. I hate shooting the eyeballs for what seems like many minutes. It is easy and boring, then suddenly the plane is eaten and I have to do it again. Any pointers?

I just got through that battle. Here's how I did it.

Stand near the back of the fuselage (near the back vertical fin) and use lightnight attacks. Standing in the back will allow you to see the eyeballs and shoot them before they damage the plane. You can try to shoot the boss in the mouth but that is difficult to do. My advice is to use a succesion of four lightning attacks to kill it.

The running theme for this and all boss fights are the same. You want to kill/shoot the enemies to fill up your magic meter and then unleash your special attacks.

So shoot the eyeballs and stop them from damaging the plane. Then once you have a full bar and the beast has stopped throwing them use the lightening attack.

Wait until you get to the final boss ohh the joy.

I have to agree with the previous posts fill up magic meter and it took 4 lightning to kill it. When he attacks the back of the plane I unloaded a clip in his mouth and he backed off giving me time to hit the magic. I have heard nightmares about the final boss as well:woop:

Import and I may get together and write a guide for this... in the meantime another piece of advise I can give is to upgrade your weapons first. The Gatling Gun is King and fully loaded is the only way to go.

On the harder difficulties you'll find a Level 3 Raven's Panic and Level 3 Gatling Gun are your saviors. Nothing like occupying their time with Ravens and unloading on them from afar.

I'll try again. My main problem with the lightning attack was it wouldn't work on him. She started the spell and it stops in the middle like nothing happened. It doesn't use my magic either, I figured it just would not work. I will try again though after some halo2!

The final boss was annoying on all of the 5 difficulties I did it on. He gave me a headache even on easy...

Yeah the reason why your magic doesnt work is because you are not close enough to the boss. It is just like your gun if you are back to far then it will not effect anything.

the last boss isnt hard at all...i was talking to my friend and hes like "you'll probably die a couple times against the final boss" and i diddnt die at all...i beat him with ease, never got close to diying.

The funny thing about this game is that it skates the line between being awful and being something that would develop a cult following.

It plays like a cooler version of the outfit at times. I like levels 2-6 even though they are limited in scope.

I did not have trouble with the final boss but I did it on easy it just was so time consuming took patience. I had trouble with the level 3 boss on the plane he was frustrating to get last lightning hit

when you use lightning all the eyeballs on the plane will also be blown off.
keep this in mind so you can keep unloading lightning on that beast as much as possible.

A friend of mine actually found a way to avoid those flying heads. The ones you cannot shoot all you have to do is wait till they are about to come down, then press teh dodge button. You will jump out of the way unharmed and the flying head will die.

I didnt notice that lol. Although i do have a tip, when your ready to cast Lightning drop down on a plane wing, seems you dont get hit there much at all.

Ok after reading the various strategies put forth by others i decided to test out some new things and came up with an easy way to do this. There are a few thigns that need to be known before fighting the boss though: 1. You do not have to wait until he is trying to eat the plane to strike him with lightning, and 2 there are two type of eyeballs, those that drill into the plane and those that try to knock you off. If you forward dodge into the second type they will explode and your controller will vibrate as if you are being hurt, but you take no damage. I tested this out on hard mode multiple times to confirm.

At the start of the battle use lightning on the boss before anything else. Then stand on the nose of the plane and blast eyeballs until he tries to eat the plane, run towards the tail of the plane and blast him with lightning once again. Return to the nose of the plane and when he returns blast as many eyeballs as you can, and if necessary dodge into them instead of letting the flyers hit you and hurt you. When your MP gauge fills up let him have it again with the lightning and then he is done, and you only had to worry about him eating the plane once.

I stood out on the left wing and didn't seem to get hit as much. I could still hit the eyballs on the plane too. Just my two cents.

even if the boss is right above me by like 10 ft i use lightning does not hit him...

all i can say is that make sure the targeting reticle is blue and and that you are aiming at him, it will not just automatically hit him if you use it and are not doing so

I have beat the game on all 5 modes and only once has he ever tried to eat the plane. What i did is when the battle first starts, I cast lightning on him. Then I start shooting eyeballs out the sky before the land on the plane, shoot off the few that do, and then cast lightning again, rinse and repeat.

I am with them, i guess i just dont understand what is going wrong for you, it was frustrating at first, but then it all seemed to jut fall in place after i learned the patterns and what i coudl and could not do. i will be glad to help you out, but i need a lil more help understanding the problem
