Am I perma stuck?

In the cathedral(Tiamats level) I just got the third sword and raised that maiden platform, but before i went through the newly unlocked door I went back down to see if I missed anything(I did, I missed a hidden chest by lighting all the lamps). Well now I cant seem to get back up. The room where I dropped down(from a cave into the room with the boomerang thing) is too high to jump back up to, and the 3 maiden sword platform has been raised. Is there a way to lower it or another way up, or did I just waste 4 1/2 hours of a pretty fun game up to this point? Thanks.

No, you're not stuck. I'm sure if you do some heavy investigating you can find your way out of there. I promise you.

Yea...

I cant believe how long it took me to get out. South of the maidens there is a room where you have to jump over 2 square platforms, after you jump over that keep going and you will get to a room that you can climb on the wall, that will take you back up. I was getting so frustrated lol.
