I was reading Tony Hawk's Project 8's achievement guide, and in the "That Combo Was Sick!" achievement they show a glitch. I thought it would be cool to be able to use that and see how high i could make my personal high combo but I cant seem to get it to work. Could anybody tell me how to get this to work or if it's even real?
Thanks!

There was a fix for it. You to do it you have to clear out all the shit in your HDD. theres somthing about it in another thread, ill find it quick

The update fixed it, you'll have to clear the cache (thus removing all updates) and do it offline without the update.
Thats it ^

Thats it ^
And how can you come about doing that without erasing all the memory of Tony Hawk Project 8 from your harddrive???

From the xbox Dashboard the far right tap. Theres some way of deleteing all updates of all games. It wont affect yuor saves just the xbox live updates. Then after you do it you can renew them all. I think. Iv'e never tried it myslef

The way that I was taught to do it is to have the 360 load from the disc when it's turned on. Turn on the 360 using the controller and hold A until the game loads up. This should clear the cache. The reason you turn the console on with the controller, obviously, is so that you don't miss the window of opportunity where you have to hold down the A button.
This gets talked about a lot in Oblivion forums as it supposedly allows things to load faster (which I don't think it really does... if anything it probably makes things load slower). Regardless, it flushes all your game updates, which conveniently allows you to exploit all the achievement glitches that got patched. You do eventually have to update, however, as you can't go on Xbox Live with the game until you do.

Go to the system blade and then memory. Press Y on either the HDD or a MU and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a blade will pop up saying: This will perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices and ask if you wish to continue. Unfortunately this will clear all of your game updates and is not a selective process meaning you cannot just un-do one game at a time.
I got this off youtube.
EDIT: I just got all the appropriate achievements using the glitch and i didn't have to clear my chace or reset my HDD.

^^ Yeah thats how I cleared the cache.. I'm wondering though if you really even need to, cuz before i cleared it I did the gap thing and got it stuck, i just didnt know how to rack the points up..
Make sure you do flips with the LT button, i was sittin there for a minute just doing random turns and kicks and grabs and realized the only way for the points to go up is to do the back flips or front flips

Okay so I'm totally paranoid about like deleting all my saves ever since my dumb ass friend deleted my Dead Rising saves. Is there like a way of just getting rid of just the TH updates? Does clearing the cache get rid of anything besides your live update things? Anything else I should know? I wana get the achievements but I'm scared!

clearing the cache just gets rid of all ur updates...not game saves...but i think u can do the glitch without clearing the cache...just make sure ur doing a bank drop or transfer or w/e its called

OK!!!
After hearing about all this I've come up with what I am going to do:
1) Try the glitch first while using the RT button (I didn't know there was a button you needed to press).
2) If that doesn't work, try to hold "a" while the game is loading (I also first learned about this in Oblivion but not about deleting updates, it was about fixing how my game would freeze every time I would go into a certain dungeon).
3) And if that doesn't work, I'll delete all of my updates (it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, because I only think there are like 2 or 3 games that I'm gonna have to be re-updating anyway).
I'm gonna work on all this tomorrow. Thanks guys for all the help and if anyone has some last minute thoughts they're much appreciated!
