So here's my current numbers:

$188,557,803.00 studs
$94,953,046.00 fans
1,829 stars
211 total gigs
160/161 gigs unlocked

I missed 1 star in the "endless setlist" and i'm not doing that again so screw it.

And the final gig needed is 3 songs at the "UFO" being the greatest hits launch party.

So is it a question of I need more gigs played or more fans or more studs???

In reading thru previous posts, it seems as if everyone get the "Vet" cheeve at different times......who knows?

For now I'm just gonna keep doing more gigs for more money and fans until hopefully it pops or an answer presents itself.....

Thx all......

The only thing that you can do is just continue to play sets until it pops up after one of them. It seems to be entirely random as to when the Greatest Hits Launch Party shows up, by the time it unlocked for me I was at 218 gigs so just keep finishing gigs and hopefully it'll show up soon.

here are my numbers when the 161st gig unlocked:

$197,645,817 lifetime studs
$98,411,110 fans
1,829 stars
217 gigs played
161/161 gigs unlocked....

i'm gonna run and finish these last 3 songs and pray the achievement pops....lolz...brb

I might have the answer to this little puzzle. I was at 160/161 unlocked and I knew that last one was the endless setlist so they were all unlocked. I also knew I have played all 159 required for this achievement. But no achievement.

I played marathon to unlock endless so I had 161/161. I was not going to play 30 more songs tonight so thought long about what might be preventing this achievement. The 1 song gig in the first vehicle is where I played bass for the gold star cheevo and where I practiced expert for the guitar solos. Now my main difficulty is medium for guitar (yes I suck). But I had a funny feeling that I had not played medium guitar there only medium bass and expert guitar. So I went back there and played 1 song on medium guitar and voila achievement unlocked.

So a theory I want to put out there is that the achievement description should read - play every gig on the same instrument and the same difficulty.

If someone can prove this wrong feel free. I am just hoping I have stumbled across the answer.

EDIT: I will check my full stats tomorrow but I know I played about 30 "practice gigs" so am around 190. But I only required the 1 extra after I had no new gigs remaining.

Nope. I had to replay some gigs to get the last gig to open, but I can gaurantee that I wasn't playing at the same difficulty when I replayed them. My original vocalist played from Expert to Medium (she was sick and was struggling doing all at Expert) but my vocalist stints were all Super Easy when I got tired of playing the same songs over and over again. I only had to replay 4-5 gigs and I know that my original vocalist played more than that with me, so while I did have a vocalist all the time, they weren't the same difficulty.

Where can you view your full stats and stuff to know all of this?

In the office, select your manager at his desk.

I'm on like 158/161 gigs. Should I just keep replaying gigs until they all unlock.

here was my situation:
i played the entire game solo on expert guitar and had no trouble unlocking gigs. however, once i completed all gigs except for the 2 big ones, i did not unlock the achievement.

in addition to this, my gigs completed stat was 171 even though i never attempted to repeat any gigs. to go along with this, i noticed several times towards the end of my time with this game that it would automatically recommend that i play a gig, but it would frequently be one that i knew i had already completed, so i would choose not to do it. i'm assuming this happened more than i realized and i actually did end up repeating gigs without knowing it at the time.

i then completed the 2 big setlists (i used a fan on "very easy" vocals) and then the veteran performer achievement immediately unlocked.

man, i am blown away by how crappy this game is. i love these music games, but this one is all kinds of suck. i'm gonna try to knock out the practice makes perfect achievement playing solo and then throw this piece of garbage on my trade in stack.

I found that I had to go back and replay some gigs where I had not got all the stars to unlock the last few, and slowly the missing gigs unlocked.

I got this achievement the other day, although I did have trouble getting it to pop. In my case, I had unlocked and played through all the gigs except the endless setlist, but still no achievement. I looked at my stats and saw that I had not 5* a couple of songs, so I went to a create setlist gig and played those 2 songs. As soon as I had 5* those 2 songs, the achievement unlocked.

It happened! I kept playing single song gigs, hoping the Greatest Hits Launch Party would unlock and coincidence or not, after gold starring every single song (so not all songs in setlits) it finally happened.

Since the achievement is not only available for expert, I'm going with coincidence on unlocking after gold starring the single songs. My best guess is that there are a certain number of songs to be played after recording the Greatest Hits Album, for the Launch Party to unlock. I think I've played about 15 or 20 gigs since.

Give me a: "Woot!..." Jeuj :)

----Old message---

Ok, so I have the same problem not getting the achievement, but I have finished every gig on expert on 5 stars and am still not able to unlock the Greatest Hits Launch Party. Here are my stats:

Lifetime Studs: 725,862,728
Fans: 999,999,999
Stars: 1,830
Gigs unlocked: 160/161
Total Gigs played: 183

At this time I'm just re-playing gigs, but so far no succes and I just want to get the achievement! Any other leads so far?

I am at 160/161 and no achievement...I mixed it up between bass and guitar...does that matter? In other words do I have to play all the songs with the same instrument????

EDIT: got it at 191 gigs played so maybe that matters.

Help?
I have 160/161 unlocked. I've played through the rest, changing instruments and difficulties. The one gig I'm missing is a three song set at The Abyss. It is NOT the Greatest Hits Launch party.
Just replay gigs?

EDIT:

Just got it. It was an album promo gig. I replayed one gig that I only had 3/5 stars in and 5-starred it. I unlocked a new microphone and the gig popped up. I think gigs unlock depending on the rewards you win from other gigs. I replayed other gigs, improving total stars, receiving no rewards, and didn't unlock the gig. The one that gave me the reward also gave me the gig. My advice, play the gigs with the fewest amount of stars in first, as those probably have unlocked rewards.

Yup, im having trouble with this one aswell 160/161. Done the marathon and endless setlists too :( Pretty sure it's got to be the Greatest Hits Launch Party or Greatest Hits Album I know I've unlocked one of those but can't remember which one. Soooo you guys suggest to keep doing gigs with low stars to unlock the final one yeah? It's just i'm pretty sure that i don't have less than 4 stars on every single gig.

Make sure you 5 star every song and keep playing. Should unlock around 200 gigs played.

I ran into problems unlocking the Greatest Hits gig in the UFO venue. I had to replay about 5 gigs to get it to finally unlock. I played a two song Pick A Setlist gig in the Parrot and Pegleg venue getting 9 stars instead of 8 to get it to unlock. This brought me from 1620 to 1621 stars. The stats below are what I had just after beating the final gig (which unlocked the Veteran Performer achievement)

Lifetime Studs: 172,802,900
Fans: 116,618,431
Stars: 1,636
Gigs unlocked: 161/161
Total Gigs played: 178
Songs 5-Starred: 83/93
Songs Gold Starred: 17/93
Time On Tour: 24:24

It may also be worth noting that I played Guitar on Expert, Vocals on Easy and Drums on Hard to get all the songs so there is a fair mix of instruments and difficulty levels.

I was also a little worried about the Album Promo gig in the Crystal Mine venue. That unlocked very late in the game for me, like within the final 5 gigs.

Both the aforementioned Greatest Hits and Album Promo gig asked me to play them again after each was finished. I believe that happened to me on other gigs during the game so watch out for that. It is also possible however to get something like an Album Promo for one venue to unlock after playing an Album Promo from a previous venue so duplicate names like that are not necessarily duplicate gigs.

Good Luck.
