i bought the March issue of OXM and it came with the usual demo disk, but when i started up the Assault heroes demo i checked my gamercard and i have the game on my card but cant unlock achievements. Does anyone know if the disc gives achievements??? (i also played Robo Blitz that was on the disc)

PS- if u have seen the cover of the demo case it says " PLAY 5 XBOX LIVE ARCADE GAMES NOW" Just thot id let u know that way some1 says "well its a DEMO DISC!"

No, the arcade demos are the full versions, just without the code. since they are the full versions, it puts it under your "Played Games" list with a big fat zero!

See all of those zeros in my gamercard? Those are all demos...I hadn't realized that there was no way to remove them until I joined this site. Now I have a silver account on my 360 that I use to download and play demos.

They're arcade demos. Arcade demos WILL show up on your gamercard whether they're downloaded from the arcade or played on a OXM disk.

The only way for you to get rid of the zero on your card is to now purchase the game. Most people have a separate silver account that they just use to try arcade games/play OXM disks. That way no zeros end u on your card.

And if the cover says "Play 5 blah blah" then it's not false advertising. You still get to play 5 games, you just don't get to unlock achievements or make a spot on the leaderboards.

EDIT: Some of this post was already stated by Skillet, but I don't feel like editing it because of my late post.

Or complete the games for that matter.

You're correct there are gamerpics on there but sadly I didnt realize the disc was going to put the arcade games on my list either but I don't really care. If you see a 0 on a arcade game on someone's list you most likely know what happened.

Yep.

I tried to at least partially counter it by playing each of my purcahsed games one by one thereby putting all games with gamerscore at the top of the list...then I played Root Beer Tapper and messed everything up.

they most likely thought that everone knew they would be demo's i did i knew it was a demo, as im sure alot of people did. if they were the full versions it would have said "5 free arcade games on this disc!" or something like that not "play 5 xbl arcade games now!"
