Not updating a game

The reason I am asking this question is because I am not planning on paying for the multiplayer for RE5. And I don't want to see the incomplete game, but I still need 2 more achievements to get the retail 100/1000.

So can I go back and get my last 2 achievements if I choose to not update the game under my account, and still get the time stamp? Or do I not get a time stamp because it disconnected me from live?

Like the others have said, the only way to get a timestamp is if you are logged into live.

You can only play games without recent updates offline so it wont show you the timestamp but you can still get the 1000/1000
