Is there an easy way to kill Durza? At the end of durzas fortress, he takes so long to kill.

I just beat him on both Normal and Hard. It does take awhile, 5 minutes or so depending on skill and whatever. Either way have your gauge full in case when you get there to refill health and cast spells faster. The way I did it was let the old guy fight him and just use eragon by dodging and firing arrows RT+A constantly while dodging. If you see him teleport to you dodge and you'll be far enough away to fire arrows, if not dodge again.
Let the old guy fight him and whenever you get your magic gauge blue use LT+B to set Durza on fire. Fire arrows repeatedly until full and do it again. If you see the old guy put Durza in a full nelson hold, run up to durza and whack on him with your sword. The flying swords trick and shield he does isnt a big problem at all just dodge until shield falls and then set him on fire.
If you or old guy run low on health use the chests in the room to fill up or use the special gauge to heal and then cast fire on him repeatedly until empty. I beat him both times without taking damage. It just takes a few minutes.

Firstly, if my descriptions are a little off it's because I haven't played the game in a while.
But I remember when Durza was about to do his "fire breathe" thing, I'd run up and grab him. Then I'd press my right stick in the direction of my partner so I'd rotate Durza to face him and my partner would take some swings at him. Then I'd just run around avoiding all the flying knives and wait until he did the fire breathe again and repeat the process.
That strategy worked really well for me.

Thanks all. After posting I got it figured out. Beat him on normal easily. Will do it on hard tonight...:)

My trick was to...enter the fight with as much Green orbs taken as possible(magic will replenish faster). Every time the magic bar is filled, I would set Durzas on fire(LT+B). While waiting for my magic bar to replenish, I would shoot arrows at him until it was full again and repeat with the fire.
Anytime Eron(I think that's the Old Guy's name) would put Durzas in a "full nelson", always go in front of Durzas and give him a good slashing with your sword.
Soon enough, Durzas will use his Fire Breath. Stand back as far as you can and do the same thing...burn him with your magic fire or shoot arrows at him while waiting for the magic bar to fill up.
When the flying blades are activated by Durzas, just keep rolling away when the blades are near. Keep in mind that if Durzas is in that "forcefield" and ready to activate the flying blades, you cannot hurt him. Simply wait until he is out of the forcefield and then attack him using the same routine.
P.S. Conserve your chests. If you get too close to them while fighting Durzas(this goes for any enemy), either you, the hero(s) or Durzas can easily break open those chests and waste what could be a crucial health orb.
On average, I defeated Durzas within 3 - 4 minutes using this tactic. It worked fairly quickly on both Normal and Hard modes. Good luck!:)

Ok i done this in like 3 mins also, here is what i did:
Save your fury if you have it for when you and/or Brom get into trouble
healthwise. There are also four chest to save for that here. When you have a full magic meter use flame magic (LT + B) on Durza. Use quickshots when your magic is recharging. Run from him if he gets too close.Don't waste time attacking when he's shielded, concentrate on avoiding the flying blades.Reduce Darza to about 20% of his original health to complete the mission. Hope this helps you out m8. ;)

its amazing how much the fire does to him when everything else does barely anything, but the holds/double team attacks do alot of damage as well though
