Have you made sure the volume is up and that the settings are all correct? When I heard people on headsets they were very faint so I dont know if this is a game problem or your headset. Does it work fine in the controller?

Just turn your controller on with your headset plugged in or get a wireless headset. Ive got both and a turtlebeach x1 headset so its a pain in the butt with dj hero :)
