NBA Live 1000 People Online a Success

So it turns out that the elusive 1000 People Online achievement was not so elusive earlier on as thousands of people logged on and got it. I personally was on just after 6 pm GMT and am still on now. The numbers have been steady and I personally, with A LOT of other people received the achievement at approximately 7:15 GMT, 45 minutes before the scheduled start, but people stuck around. I've been with some of the people in my lobby for 3 hours now and those people will definitely be getting sites awards to go with their elusive achievement. At one point we were hitting 1,100 people online! Now that is some effort! Despite people getting the award early, a lot of people stayed on to support the event past the 8 o'clock mark, some people just disappeared when they got the achievement which was very disappointing, but hey, we can't control the masses unfortunately.


All in all it was a very enjoyable and successful event. I personally want to thank all those in my room, especially StickyG and NeoBRC who were there when I turned up and are still there now!


I would personally on behalf of X360A like to thank a numerous amount of people, firstly, there are those senior members that hosted rooms, and we appreciate the time and effort that was put in there. Then there is DaKing for spreading the word as he usually does and we would also like to thank Knuckles Dawson, Richard and Dustin over at Xbox360Fanboy and Sherveen over at MGCNews to be able to join forces with us to achieve this result and we look forward to a healthy relationship with them in the future.

I managed to get a copy from Gamestation (where we held a PES6 event this afternoon) but I didn't get home till gone 10pm :(

I actually had my 360 being repaired when this happened. So I convinced a guy from work to take my hard drive and the game from gamefly (ive had it like 3 weeksn now just for this event). I called him and made sure he was online for me. At first he said there was only like 670 on and I thought maybe not enough people would get on. Within 10 minutes of talking to him he said "achievement unlocked!". I was very lucky to have this guy do this for me. I told him to get on his account and get the points and stay on since he was just going to fix his computer anyway. He only has one controller but 1 is better than 0. Thanks for everyone else who got on to help. I wish I could have personally been at my house doing it, but at least it was done!

Congrats to all that got the coveted achievement. Shame on those of you that actually dropped off after the ding. Listen, this is a community, act like you're proud of it. Of course, my thoughts are the ones that dropped right away weren't actual members. From what I've seen, they wouldn't do that. Again, congrats guys!! If there's ever another group log on for those that didn't get it this time, count on me being there!

Well I see that tons of us got the achievement today and to all whom did congrats. I am noticing though everyone is talking about how people bounced on and bolted. I am not sure how long you were supposed to stay on for others to get the achievement, but I stayed in a lobby for 35 minutes that was called 360a and after that I played a co-op basketball game online so that took 20 minutes. puts me on for almost an hour and that is all the time i could give to this. Oh well I did what I could sorry if that was not long enough

I too would like to say thanks to everyone who supported this effort. So nice to see so many people with a full 1000 in this game.

There should be no complaints either. Yes a bunch of people jumped on and jumped off once they selfishly got their achievement.

I got the achievement shortly after 2p EST. However from 3p-4p EST I logged in five of my different accounts and got each of them the achievement as well. So there was plenty of time, even if you showed up a bit late to get the achievement. Thanks again to everyone who participated.

The X360A group did a fantastic job promoting this event and from what I have read online, most participants are very happy with the outcome. The A360P event was a success for some people- but selfishness left many people out. I think most people were cognizant of this and stayed longer.

Great job everyone! I was able to leave my game on while I was out staying inside the American lobby for about five hours and when I returned I found out I forgot to leave my controller plugged in and freaked out but luckily I still got the achievement!

this was a lot of fun. my brother signed in on my machine (he never secured his own copy of the game in time) and nabbed the achievement. immediately after, i signed in and also got it (at about 11:20am, PST), then stayed on for a few more hours. it was cool to see a lot of x360a members online, and to recognize so many gamertags (even though i'm new ;)). congrats to everyone that received the achievement, and thanks to everyone involved in the event's organisation.

Last night according to 360 Voice, we nearly doubled the numbers of the previous effort. Another congrats people :D

Every member that was in a x360a Room. Although, due to the lag and inconsistency of EA's servers, not everyone was able to get in, so we are being a little more lenient. As long as people stayed on for a good period, we've given them the award.

hrm... well, i chatted, stayed on, hung out and posted here and on Live in order to make my presence known, and didn't receive anything. i'm not sure what else i could've done to draw attention to myself ;).
