I love this franchise, have since I was a kid. Looks like a fun game with some easy-ass achievements. Don't think I'll buy it, but it will be at the top of my queue for rental!

I'm debating on whether or not $7 is even worth it to rent this, even if it is an easy 1000, however, I've played all the NES turtles, Turtles in Time for SNES, and The hyperstone heist for Genesis so I might try it out after all.

First coins aren't the silver medal ones that you collect while going to the game...actual coins look like like little turtle shells. The easiest way to get your first one is to beat the first challenge mission, quit and restart the mission again. Your first coin should be right after you pick up the first silver medal. I hope this helps...enjoy

at somepoint u must climb a billboard and then bingo

it's the 1st time u use the skill with raphael actually, the previous ones he was wearing a costume, so it didn't count

Im on the nij tag mission and just climbed some stairs nearish the end and it says i need ralph to get from one side to the other, there is a walkway overhead so i cant jump?

You can even fall in the pits and die, as long as an enemy does not hit you, you can unlock the ach. in the 1st level.

So is this unlocked somehow other than climbing the walls...? Because I did that in level 2 and I didn't unlock the achievement for Raphael's special move :( I even went back to level 2 and played it again just in case I was supposed to trigger something at that point in time or something, but it didn't work.

It just seems like that'd make sense b/c I got all the others in the levels where it taught me the special move tricks.

Do I just need to clear my save when I finish the game and start it all over again at the beginning and trigger something the first time or what? Wazzadealio?

You'll pick it up in level 6... don't worry about it (unless you're already passed level 6, then I don't know what to tell you :))

You're technically not Raph in stage 2, you're Nightstalker. It unlocks in stage 11.

Your file must be glithces or something then. Best bet is to start a new game and use the method MajinD described in that thread.

No no no, your giving him the wrong answer man. Check it out...in order to get the turtle shell coin, you can either a) first beat the game, then start a new one. Once you do so, you'll have the coin within 20 seconds of starting the first level. then your done or b) beat the first level with a grade of A or better (I have three A+) then quit after it saves and restart the level and walla, then just quit and continue with your game.

^^^ This is waht the explanation should be in the achievement guide.

just get a rank of A or better on level 1 (easy as pie) .. then restart the level again and those once tranlucent turtle shell coins are now able to be picked up ... grab the first one you see and bam ... achievement unlocked

yes i agree, the achiev's are REALLY simple. i mean there IS unlockables in this game, why not include them into the achiev's? but other than that this is a fun, quick, and easy 1000pts for us renters out there :)

I think they probably weren't planning on putting out a 360 version. Then when they decided to do so they probably didn't have enough time to think of good ones. but i mean they could of at least made it "get rank A on x level" but even doing that is really easy. Still pretty fun though.

My friend comes over to my house every weekend and we basically stop sleeping for three days and work on getting achievement points (both on his 360 and mine, with two t.v.s in my room). We were thinking we did awesome last weekened whenever we rented Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires, and got all 1,000 that weekend (completed at 4:00a.m. Monday morning, hours before school, actually).

Then he rented the turtles. He played first (while I worked on getting achievements in Samurai Warriors 2: Empires), and in 6 hours and 30 minutes had all 1,000. Yes, I timed him, because he actually had problems with that simple game in a few areas and it was hilarious. Then he said that I'd have problems with it to. So I played and beat it in 4 hours and 20 minutes.. and rubbed it in his face.

The game was ridiculously easy and kind've boring, as it mainly consisted of running and jumping, but I can't complain about the easy 1,000. Felt goood.. Next weekend, we're going for 1,000 a night, lol.

Just beat a level (any will do) and re-play it in challenge mode. If you replay level 1 in challenge mode, you get a gold coin after about 20 seconds :) easy.

Make that your first GOLDEN coin. The ones you get in-stage (not once you complete a stage). Example, when you go back and replay an already beaten stage, there will more numerous golden coins to collect. Those will give you the achievement.

Family Unit - 15pts
In level 6 you'll have to do a 'combo move' to beat the level (that's either the tag team attack or the extra long jump).

Used Mikes special move - 30pts
This is Mike's 'hover' move. You'll use it quite often in level 4.

Used Raphs special move - 30pts
This is Raph's wall climbing ability, only on certain walls mind you. But you won't get this till level 11. Why? Because in level 2 you're "technically" not Raph.

Used Leos special move - 30pts
This is Leo's 'phase shift' where he walks through gates. You'll get this ability in level 5, and in that level you MUST use it, have fun.

Used Dons special move - 30pts
Anyone up for pole vaulting? Well Don is, at least in the early part of level 3. At which time you'll get the achievement.

Clean Sweep - 50pts
You'll want to choose a level where you have few fights and it's a pretty easy/basic level (unless you REALLY wanna challange yourself). Level 2 would be a BAD choice. Level 1 is pretty good as it's an easy stage, not too long, and only has 2 fights.

Raphs special move is actually easy to miss. All you have to do is climb up the Zoo billboard in stage 11. I missed it the first time because i climbed up the sides with Leo.

ok so i relized its not the first challenge mission its just the first level so that might be why its not working for some. maybe?

i thought the game was great, but extremely repetitive it took me about 5 hours but i enjoyed it and the last level was def the most fun and most challeging

Why would you want to complain about an easy 1000. Unless your trying to avoid achievements, and who the hell does that. Plus it is a kids game so of course they are gonna make the achievements simple so it can make the little kids with 100 GS happy. I haven't played this game yet but I will probably like it cause I am a huge fan of the series.

there is no multiplayer co-op in this game, offline or online, stricly a 1 player game only. you can control all of the turtles on certain levels but only one turtle at a time on screen (normally), you can cycle through all turtle and chose who you want and then activate a (co-op move) kinda like a super attack type move, where two turtles will come on screen and join up to perform a special attack for a few seconds, but thats it ...

Could easily be done in a day. Altho not strictly all of the achievements can be got going through the story. You will have to do one level again to get the "first coin".

They aren't the white coins that you collect throughout the game they're actually golden turtles shells (5 per level) that only show up on the 2nd run.
