How do you throw objects effectively?

I was wondering how I can throw things farther than ten feet. My strength is going on level 3 and despite all attempts with every button, I can't throw anything very far. What button should I use?

Once you pick up the object, throw it with the Right Trigger, at least thats what I do. But for the fastest gain in Strength, just run up to them and Press B.

B Picks up objects and puts them down when in hand, it doesnt throw them

haha wow I was beginning to wonder as well why I couldn't throw stuff very far at all. I was pressing B to throw it, never thought to try the trigger hehe, thanks.

I seem to launch stuff if I am locked on to a distant target then use the right trigger as said.

I'm at 2-3* strength and can chuck stuff reasonably far.

I just chucked the Russian boss' body off of the oil rig thing while I had four star strength.

Certainly does my friend. If you're standing on the ground and throw a gang member they may go 5-20 feet depending on your strength. If you throw them off a 100 story building...well, you get the point. You can also throw smaller objects, but dead gang members is a more personable, brutal route.

I had 3 Stars, I think. Just remember, that once you beat the Shai-Gen Final Boss, to stay up there. Once you kill everyone, you wont have to worry about gettgin hit. Then Just grab a light Post, and throw it anywhere off the building. You are so high up, that you're almost garanteed to get it...

agreed with maka... thats how i did... im 4 star and had trouble getting it until i was on top of that building...worked like a charm.

another good tip with throwing objects is to aim in on your target by holding the left trigger and then throw it with the right trigger, and it pretty much every time accurately hits the target

Might have to try that. My strength is max'd and I can't seem to get the achievement either. Does the angle you throw something matter? I was always under the impression that an object flying upwards at about a 45 degree angle worked best, but if you have experience otherwise, please let me know.

I just picked this one up when I came home from work today.

I clmbed the defense building (with the elevator) in the Shai-Gen district. At the top, in the dome where you fight the boss, I picked up a chair (lightweight item, probably weighs less than the cinder block). I went back outside of the dome, jumped on it, looked slightly up and pitched it over the edge ond got this one.

Hope that works for some others having trouble with this.

Me and one of my mates each got the achievement by throwing a dead body into the sea from a building. Either building were super tall, but i guess elevation helps as well for the achievement. It was pretty easy.
