OMG, and I thought Nosia's Groundhog was tough on expert

LOL, so I 5 starred Nosia's Groundhog on hard, last one I needed, breezed through all the songs 5 starring everything on hard first try besides Nosia and a David Bowe song. After 3-4 tries at Nosia I 5 starred it with ease and thought I was rad. So I played Nosia for the 1st time on expert to see what I could do, and I got 420K! which was just short of 5 stars, 1st run!!!! I'm really the Big Man on Campus now right? Only need a little more to 5 star it so I'll easily 5 star this game on Expert then right?????

"Beats and pieces" and "Rockit" totally raped me. Played them each one time and got 4 stars........COMBINED!!!! hahahaha. 2 stars on each song and a few tears later, I ended my night of DJing depressed. No wonder this is one of the highest rated achievements for difficulty on True Achievements...

Looks like once I get my friend over to play a 2v2 game with 2 turntables, my achievement joy will end at 49 of 50 for 900 gamerscore. Wow those two songs are unforgiving on expert.

Honestly, honestly...I know how you feel mate.

I had been literally breezing through this bloody game on Expert until last night. Honestly, Beats & Pieces gave me a bit of a headache but after a few stabs at it, I had enough of the first half of the song to see me through to five stars.

Then I crashed into Groundhog & Rockit. And I wept.

On the one hand, I expected there to be a couple of bastard-hard tracks at the end of the game but the difficulty spike is a goddamn joke.

I'm CERTAIN I can five star Groundhog if I can get the first two sections down and coast through the 'THIS IS MY FRIEND, FEEDBACK' part on euphoria.

Rockit though...shit. I don't know man. It's crushing.

But it is nice to have some activity in some threads other than modern warfare 2 (which isn't the best game ever, i might add).

Hey we-todd, my post went right over your little head. Obviously I wasn't seriously depressed and went into the corner crying and gave myself an emo haircut, I was joking about the extreme difficulty of those two songs.

To put it more clearly for you, Nosia-Groundhog seemed to be the hardest song in the game that noone could 5 star on hard, sorta like Raining Blood on GH3, so once I 5-starred Nosia on hard, I tried on expert, 1 run through and I knew I could easily 5 star it so I thought I'd have smooth sailing through the rest of the game 5 starring everything else since I already mastered the "hardest" song in the game. "Rockit" and "Beats and Peaces" showed me that even though they aren't listed at the bottom of the hardest songs, they are by far the two hardest songs, way harder than Nosia.

So yeah, you're cool. This is a message board, remember that

Its just by reading your post it seemed as if you were suprised it would be harder on expert and just listening to it you can tell it would be insane on expert.
Bits and pieces iand rock it are easy on hard but once it gets to expert its just getting use to the beat then mashing it all together. Sorry. Just seemed like you were trying to post about simple moaning. Just when a thread talks about rape and depression to do with them playing the game its hard to take them seriously. Plus its a game so its ment to challenge you so making it hard for you to complete. They want you to have to play it for a long time so that it has longer game life. If they all made it simple songs Im sure you wouldnt be happy.

The point with this thread though, is you should know that everyone will find different songs harder and other songs easier. Your rating will never be the same as the games or anyone else's. So you shouldn't really go around saying it like it is true for everyone, some people will be really pissed when they 5 star beats and scratches and 2 star groundhog ;).

nah, groundhog is mad easy cause you can practically 5 star it before it even gets to the hard parts using rewinds and using euphoria at the feedback part.

Beats and Pieces and Rockit are total complete challenges on expert. On Hard it took 1 shot to beat them and I haven't even tried to beat them on expert since that day I played them they were so difficult. I know I can get better with practice but the extreme jump in difficulty was a bit surprising.

You would think Groundhog would be the hardest song on expert as it was the hardest song on hard. It's clear among the better players that these are the two hardest songs. Just giving anyone who reads this a heads up.

Yup, when I played Beats and Pieces first time on hard, I just thought "bah feckin long song with only scratching, it's so boring and why the hell is that one of the latest, is that just an endurance show off?"

Then I started playing on expert and thought "omfg the scratches are always directed now?? ... That song will kill me"

on topic: just started playing djhero, thought it was easy on expert.. the first 3 songs!! after that i got asswiped.. don't think i will ever master this like i did on guitar hero

It's Beats and Pieces and Rockit that make me wish that this game really had a practice mode so I could slow it down and actually either have chance to work out the directional scratches on the super fast stuff or just pull it apart (as in Rockit) and work out one thing at a time (crossfader, buttons, scratches) and then put it all together.

But Jesus, the difficulty spike at the end of the game is ridiculous.
