Getting A High Combo?

I have no idea how to get a combo over 500.. I'll be playing my best and for whatever reason, i'll get poked from the side and lose it every time in a fight. Also doing the xxx-yyyyyyyyyy combo where Innphy slashes the air only gets you about 400 combo and usually it stops your combo from going up any more.. So I don't know why people keep telling me to do this manuever.

With Inphyy, I think the best one was just keep mashing X over and over. Each character has a different combo that works the best, it will be the one that leaves no downtime between the end of one combo to the start of the next, because that is when you get hit.

i would find a large group and put on a weak wepon, then just walk through them

or you could always get in front of hundreds of people and use a superSUPER move.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had no idea that you can change weapons and add inventory. I just figured that out and i'm almost done with every character, lol. But once I figured it out I added the cursed choker onto my characters to get higher combos. Thanks though guys
