There is nothing wrong with chunky women, only chunky women in public. There is just more of them to love, and if you are attacked by a crouching tiger, or possibly a hidden dragon, you are safe in the knowledge that a curvy lady would make a better meal for said beast.

Hmm, interesting argument. We're having a huge debate here in the UK about 'size 0 ' models appearing on catwalks - what that does to the self-esteem of young women etc. All this time people have been blaming the media for eating disorders and teenage girls aspiring to be something unhealthy - judging by this thread maybe we should be blaiming men, or at least those of you who, although may well not be 'god's gift' yourselves feel as though you have the right to comment on women the way you have.

My advice is to stop now as men are rapidly going down the same sorry road women have been down for years - you are starting to buy into the idea that you should get your chest waxed, pay a fortune for a hair cut, wear moisturiser and fake tan etc. I'm not saying its a bad thing but unless you are quite happy to be constantly judged on what you look like, as women currently are, then maybe you should rethink your attitude. Rant over!

size 0 chicks are gross, but muffin tops are worse.

i am definitely not one of the metrosexual males...i don't wax anything, i pay as little as possible for a hair cut and i definitely dont have a fake tan...and the only time i use moisturizer is when my fiance is neglecting my nether-regions. :)

i do feel that maintaining/trimming your chest/pubic hair is ok though. it's just being polite to the ladies.

Believe it or not it is the media.. and it is men. Who controls the media? Men! If you're looking for a good read, try the Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf.

This is also more evident as the top diets are created by male nutritionists, the increase in cosmetic surgery is astounding, increase in eating disorders, etc.

It may be gross, but let the women be who they are. You push them to hard then they'll take it to far. Who gives a shit what anyone finds attractive? Just so you don't have to strain your eyes looking at a female, you'd rather have them being an emotional rollercoaster and mess? Hrm. I admit I don't like muffin tops I don't think it's nice. But i'm not going to tell someone to lose weight just to look good. That's not the point of losing weight. It's suppose to be for their health. I agree with Sarke To an extent. I came across this show called The Agency on Vh1 I think, about a modeling agency, they are telling the skinny guys to beef up and already skinny women there telling them they're too fat and need to lose weight. Why this is even a show is beyond me. If you don't like what you see, then don't look, and on the flip side their are just as many fat beer bellied men, man boobs, and men that never bother to try pants on. Do you think we like looking at them bent over and seeing their hairy ass butt crack dripping with sweat. It's gross lol Our society is geared towards what men like and want. Breast implants for example, now sure if you have none I can see getting them, but for women that are a decent size only making them bigger and looking fake. How is that attractive? They do that so they can get more looks and attention. I've had them since I was 12 real ones ( better lol ) and sure at first you use them to get attention, it's not hard to do, but after awhile it get's pathetically old. Men will always be dogs, but women need to stop letting them dictate what you should look like, you should look and dress and be whomever you want to be and what will make you happy. I'm sure we all can look in the mirror and see something we don't like about ourselves. I've actually read some of the Beauty Myth, right after reading The Second Sex by Simone DeBeauvoir for an assignment on sexism for uni. Both books are pretty amazing and should be read by anyone who thinks that women are treated equally in todays society and also those people who are making 'muffin top' statements.

As Pandora said there are a whole lot of men out there that obviously either dont look in the mirror on a morning or just dont give a crap what they look like - both of which is fine because unless I find someone attractive or interesting - I DONT LOOK. I don't feel the need to be so bothered about not finding someone attractive that I'd post a thread on it!! ;)
